When they refer to inflation, they mean how much the price changes (increases). Basically prices stopped increasing.

To help you understand better, heres how it is.
When you subscribe to 2 onlyfans this year, your number of subs is 2. Next year you increase it by only 1 instead of 2. Your sub count is now 3. If you substract your 2 from 3, you get 1, which is neither negative nor 0. What this means is that as long as youre subscribing to more onlyfans accounts, you're increasing the number of accounts your subscribed to. Does that answer it?

If you buy 1 burger today you have 1 burger. You buy 2 burgers tomorrow, you have 3. You buy 1 burger the day after, you have 4. See, it keeps going up.

Combined with this shitty job market, there's no chance Biden wins 2024

>> No.57588468

Because the inflation metric that the government uses doesn't include
>food
>groceries
>new/used cars
>rent
>mortgages
>education
>healthcare costs
>daycare costs
If you're just buying lamps, ping pong paddles, and swiffer mops, the economy is great fro you.
Biden HIMSELF even went on tv yesterday and said "food prices are too high and the contents of the packages are getting lower". He literally described Bidenomics.

The real question to be asking is how long it will take wages to cover inflation.

What is actually tragic though is white collar wages are going down below 2019 levels (minimum wage has gone up though, but is obsolete and behind inflation at this point, MW is at 2019 price level atm).

So compared to 2019 everything is 2-3x price, and you probably have a lower or stagnated salary unless you are a minimum wage cuck.

Because things are still getting more expensive, just at a slower rate than they were before. Fed likes to keep a consistent ~2% inflation to match economic growth rate and population growth.
Unfortunately, the last 3 years (2020-23) had something like 20% real inflation, so to get back down to where we should be we'd need to have concurrent years of ~15% deflation.
Economists quite literally shit themselves when they think about deflation, so that is unlikely to happen. This means we're now just stuck with higher prices that the economy can't really catch up with unless we have a 15% growth rate, which will never happen.

Because, they are measuring the rate of price increases, not the total prices of goods and services. Also, there is no such thing as negative inflation, which is an oxymoron. There is only inflation and deflation.

Example:

- Item X is $100.
- Next year, item X is $102.
- That's a Year Over Year inflation rate of 2%.
- Inflation lowers down to 1% YOY
- Item X now costs $103.

I know I'm going to get attacked for saying this, but is it really? I keep hearing online that inflation is so terrible, and I live in Washington state, but it really doesn't seem that bad compared to like 3 years ago. Food is maybe 10% more expensive, I think? Gas seems about the same? Electricity and gas are maybe a bit more? The price increases I'm seeing don't seem that crazy.

>> No.57589638

>>57589218
How is what you're saying any different than "the inflation rate compounds"? That seems obvious?
Or are you saying we could have a situation where the price of item X is $103, was $100 a year ago, but the YOY inflation rate is only 1%?

He's right though in so far as the working white middle class goes. People get it in their heads that x party is stupid and don't know what they're doing. Which is false. They know what they're doing and their living theirs and heir buddies pockets at the expense of others. Sure they're people in the Dem or Rep part that care about the poor or working class, respectively. But the big wigs up top don't give a shit and if you benefit from their policies it is a byproduct of them looking after their business interests. Lesser of two evils and all that

>>57587764

It's more than that- the middle class has opposed the democrats for most of the past 150 years. The middle class is essentially the enemy of the democratic party, institutionally. There is currently a kind of middle class liberal who votes dem then wonders why things get worse economically, so they vote harder and things get worser.

All of this is intentional- you crush the middle class, prevent wealth transfers through generations, ensure the next generation is saddled with debt and now you've "defeated white supremacy" by making everyone broke and transferring their wealth by government policy.

If you fancy yourself middle class, or have a job where you actually work, you are stupid for voting democratic.
