Anyone else feel like gold is too low in price?

I wasn't stacking more than 2 years ago but I've done my research.
It has barely gone up from where it was in 2011's hights of 1900.

Meanwhile gaming pcs, nvidia gpus, cpus, cars, food, fast food, clothes are all north of 50-100% more expensive.

Stocks are deff way up from their 2011 prices adjusted for stock splits..

I love the shiny rocks but the return is atrocious unless you live in a 3rd world country with hyperinflation.

Don't even get me started on silver which hasnt even reached its high from the 80's or some bullshieet.

Outside of stacking my roth ira with leveraged etfs like $TQQQ, I still stack gold on the side and have the sincere hope it will rise, because they can only restrain it so much.

The dollar is clearly fallout of favor worldwide and everything rebalances because everything in life moves in a rhythm like pendulums.

It will swing back in our favor because this reality rewards those that practice delayed gratification.

To elaborate , not only the dollar i feel the whole western society is decaying..

Look at the lack of foresight by the public, they're enamored by games played by grown men in tights about running with a small ball.. This is what our society celebrates..

Not science, tech, or scholarship.. But actual nonsense like grown men running around on a field with balls running into each other, they call it the super bowl..

Don't even get me started on the moral decay, incels, troonery, open borders, degeneracy, white guilt, feminism, jewish worship by the media and elite!
Yes its coming to a head.

USD denominated equities will be king until the USD dies. This is the whole risk... USD financial products will only be good until... they aren't... and nobody knows when that will happen.

I'm into a diversitied portfolio. Canada has GICs with 5% return, USD equities have good returns, and gold is the safe haven. I own all three but desu GICs are the ones that make me most nervous because you are locked in and you will get wrecked in the event of a currency run.

Eaten with sterling silverware no less, because this is /pmg/ and we're keeping it on topic here. For anyone who needs to clean their sterling but has found that they've run out of commercial polish, fun tip: you can just use toothpaste in a pinch. Make sure it's not one of the abrasive ones that are being popularized recently, but otherwise you can just rub it on with a microfiber cloth like you would your normal polish, and then rinse under warm water.

CIA, NSA and MI6 funded the creation of Bitcoin and the group who maintains it.

Not only do they control the largest wallets including the original “Satoshi” wallets, they also control the people who control the code.

I’m fascinated to see where this all of this will lead, but I have a theory:

Remember The Times magazine cover with a phoenix rising from the ashes and holding a coin? With a note about a new world currency?
Many people speculated that it was Bitcoin or “Fedcoin”.

I think they’re going to implement a massive false flag cyber attack to take down all existing financial infrastructure.
This attack will also temporarily kill crypto and send prices spiraling to $0, but only for a short time.
The media will tell us we need high security blockchain tech to use any services online.
A new cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin but actually a CBDC will “rise from the ashes” and become the “new world currency.”

The teeny tiny little supply of Pt is actually pretty exciting. As much as people like to make the distinction of silver and gold being monetary metals. The amount of value that will chase after real-world commodities will flow into basically everything tangible. The fact that it is value-dense and won't spoil will be good enough to soak up some serious value.
Just look at the runaway price action of rhodium and Pd. This is what we can expect for all metals.

Yes. When it comes to gain, as opposed to simply preserving wealth in hard assets, the metals all have different prospects. Gold is a 100% remonetization bet at this point. Silver is a mix of remonetization hopes and wide industrial use. Platinum and pauladium are pure industrial future. I think the plan is to have capital to buy back into the system. The "american" economy is not some capitalist dream but a global financial empire. American can't actually exist as it is today without the dollar propping up our imports. So in that regard, all of the ownership claims for our future consumption are bogus. In that they are priced on a pre-dollar collapse status quo. However this all shakes out, on a fundamental level the economy MUST rebuild it's savings. And that means people will be working and not consuming. Most people will probably be consuming 100% of what they earn and it will take a very very very long time to rebuild the savings of the nation. People with capital will be able to recover quicker. People will metals will be able to show up to any standing bank and say "Let me buy back in" and get whatever resources they need to continue earning.
Service stocks like Netflix will be stinkers. Something like Caterpillar (already overbought) producing real quality goods will continue existing and exporting. So you have to be able to differentiate. And who knows what can even happen to companies leveraged up. Shareholders could get wiped out across the board as smart-money flexes their muscles to be far more efficient looters than you and I. Hence why I want a lot of PMs. Russia in the post-soviet collapse is indicative of our future. Billionaire oligarchs stole everything while the people had to rebuild impoverished for decades.

The bull case for pretty easy to understand, the problem is how obviously polarizing it is. Imagine making a bet that the custodians of all of our money, investments, retirements, social security and insurance are all insolvent. That's a pretty dire thesis to even be postulating. The trick is you can stack without ruining your financial health and it is not necessarily an all-or-nothing scenario given that the entire system will bend over backwards to prevent that exact thing from happening. The problem is they can never kick the can forever so eventually it is all going to manifest itself.

The problem is the timeframe of the current economic system. Boomers have lived their ENTIRE adult lives in a world of deficit spending (1983 is the beginning of no GDP growth without larger growth in debt). So all they had to do was invest and their money and house grew. But this will not be the path forward for the next generation. Without actually understanding any of this, most people would just share their experiences. Or maybe they know something is fucked up and going to end poorly but have no clue how to prevent it.
It's obvious to anyone who looks. The problem is also foregoing a return. Investing in PMs from 2008 to present was a pretty feel-bad experience. But that doesn't mean it will always be this way or it will even repeat.

It's Joever guys. Inflation is continuing to run hotter than expected, crypto is pumping, stocks are pumping, and metals are dumping. I feel like such an idiot. The world isn't collapsing into Mad Max and everyone still uses the USD. Not even the multicultural coalition of BRICS+ can conquer Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Western governments just continue to print/give them billions. We lost. We're dummies. It's more respectable to take the L, admit that we were wrong, and try and make good investments from now on. There's nothing respectable about throwing good money after bad.

I think they will just start exporting fewer and fewer goods. And what we do import will be of such low quality we'll all just become nothing more than a nation of two-bit first worlders. There will just be less and less shit as our bargaining power wanes.
People don't realize what a threat the BRICS truly are and plenty of nations are showing interest. I think the entire world knows that sticking together gives them all more bargaining power with the U.S. and as that happens we have less and less leverage. They may still need us as trading partners but not like before.

investing in USD denominated equities and worshipping the US dollar supports dollar hegemony and that indirectly supports American globhomo imperialism. I honestly want to get out of equities just to stop supporting the USD since I know the USD is one of the only strengths the US has left.

Jewelry is a scam though. Very cool if a person likes the item, but really expensive retail from a metal perspective.

Stuff that would make decent jewelry is fairly expensive if real. I think I paid $80 for this specimen 30 years ago. It would probably go for a few hundred now. But I'd guess it would cut up into a dozen good cabs. It's not an enormous quantity of visible gold, but it would smear out nice when cut and polished.

yeah, if its something that you like and you wear it for 20 or 30 years I have a hard time believing it can be a bad investment. And, the whole point of sourcing the materials yourself is so that you can keep costs down. you can literally pay pajeets on fiverr to do custom cad work for 100 bucks and local casting is usually not that much. You can buy CVD diamonds on DHgate for 200 a carat too so slapping it all together is within reach if you are smart.
