mETH. It can do the jobs of all the other, and layer 2s are probably going to eat any and all payment markets, targeted by Litecoin and BitcoinCash (the real bitcoin). Usecase wise it has the breadth and depth with layer twos, people can transfer into games, pay creators, buy "stocks" in other crypto coins, lock up in financial products, do options trading. And hype cycle wise, well we have all seen that usecase doesn't mean anything in the case of groupish meme madness, however, long term use cases help drive hype eventually. Ethereums long established brand helps normies trust it, nearly on the same level as bitcoin, so it can be used as a financial backbone in the same way, which will erode BTCs network effect. For ETH there is still plenty of unkowns and therefore speculative narratives about what is possible in future to drive hype. Whereas the possibility space of the fake bitcoin BTC is much narrower, relying on existing network effects and stolen brand power.
So, in conclusion Ethereum has the best potential of these four coins to generate hype bubbles among ape-like normies who's lives are built around signalling status and loyalty to their tribal in-group, friends and colleagues, and is therefore the best long term investment (just make sure to sell when you sense euphoria among the neurotypicals)
