Can someone smarter than me figure out of this is a scam or not? It claims to be a chainlink killer and yes the team is 100% jeets but polygon is too. They claim to have massive partnerships and they’re a 3m marketcap oracle. I’m just struggling to find if these partnerships are fake or not. The polygon partnership seems fake, they just launched a token on polygon and called it a partner, but what about the others?

oracle networks are inherently scams. chainlink, maker, and pyth have only superficially "succeeded" because they have astroturfed their usage with massive amounts of money

I mean yeah it looks like they just launched a token on a bunch of chains and claimed it’s partnerships but they did raise like 3.7 million dollars and idk… check the explorer and see if you see any big activity cause idk what to look for

>1.2.2 Lack of long term viability
>Many of the current general-purpose oracle platforms are not suitable for long term applications. They are based on the assumption that the data source is trustworthy and will not be compromised. In case the data source is compromised or becomes defunct, the oracle service becomes dysfunctional.
>Some oracle platforms such as Chainlink are marketplace based, where a decision needs to be made to select oracle providers with higher reputation every time a data point needs to be fetched because the set of oracle providers and their reputation is constantly changing.
>Choosing the data feed and the oracle providers requires constant verification and decision making. This decision making cannot be made by a smart contract autonomously and requires decisions to be made by the stakeholders of the application. And hence, due to the constantly changing nature of the world outside blockchain, the current oracle solutions are not viable for long term applications.
just got off the horn with mumbai and it turns out chainlink is not viable long term because every time a data point needs to be fetched the stakeholders of the application have to manually decide which node operators should be used

they "manually decide" to use chainlink's single set of handpicked trusted nodes who are all friends and totally don't collude
