Is it actually feasible to do the whole move away from the big city and live in nature thing?
I don't even want to be as hardcore as living off the grid and living entirely off the land, but a more rural area more connected with nature is very appealing and always has been for me

What do you need to do in order to do this?

The money to buy a house and the skills to get a job wherever you decide to move? What kind of urbanoid are you that you think moving to a rural area is any different than moving anywhere else.

There's always a landlord somewhere. I moved to a rural Midwestern state. Pay $850/mo to rent an apartment inside of a national forest. You heard that right. Apartments. In national forests. The only way out is to buy land or go into the wilderness to camp illegally.

then you gotta pay for shit homie. pay for grid utilities. pay for food. pay for gasoline.
and pray that you never need to afford anything large again like a new house or car because you'll never have a decent wage again.

There is no facia board on those rafters. His shit is gonna rot in a few seasons.

OP, it's not hard or expensive depending on the area, you just need to be willing to commute further for things like groceries, Dr appointments, or work.
