Stocks will keep going up at least until they start going down again. We will know for sure when that happens because price changes will switch from an upward direction to a downward one. The main indicator that we can use to identify this switch is that we will begin to see stock prices falling instead of rising. That will tell us when returns on stocks have changed from positive to negative. Because returns are currently positive, that means the value of stocks is growing rather than shrinking. However, with negative returns however, then the value of stocks will shrink rather than grow. Thus, the prices at which stocks are bought and sold will be going down instead of going up. Until then though, stock values will continue moving upward rather than downward.

>I don't wanna lose out.
Then set a 10% Stop loss. But don't set it at 10%. Because stop loss hunters (whales, institutions) create dumps in the mornings to push the stock down briefly 10% so they can snatch your calls.

Set a stop loss. Alter it day by day. Never get complacent. Don't get comfy. Alter your stop loss every day. Some days it needs a 20% stop loss. Some days it needs a 30%. Some days it does need a 10% stop loss, but probably not on AMD. The swings will be too large.

Set a stop loss. Look at the charts and find a comfortable level. DON'T set it too low. And don't set it too high. And then be content with yourself no matter what happens. You saved your money. Or you increased it.

Kek watching the Rockford Files. Aside from just how fucking better things were in those days (after the 00s things really went to hell) is how fucking cheap shat is. A fancy car some doctor drives in one ep is only $26,000. A house in one ep was mentioned as being worth $20,000. A pack of cigs was .60 cents. This was in California to. Imagine making what your pulling down now and shat costing what it did in those days. You'd be living like a king.

Utilities are dependent on issuing bonds to pay for infrastructure upgrades and grow. When the cost of borrowing goes up utility stocks suffer. no, 12k yearly spend on 100k is a 12% withdrawal rate which has an unsurprisingly high rate of failure.
plug your shit in here:
https://engaging-data.com/will-money-last-retire-early/
protip: assume additional expenses at some reasonable age (55-60ish) for healthcare and disability/elderly living at home stuff, you'll need it. you can safely assume ~70% of your projected SSA income will materialize at 62.
12k annual expenses requires 300k for a safe withdrawal of 4%, i'd aim for 360 or so for a good cushion before pulling the trigger.

Yeah, the market will reward you for information and rob you for emotion. Starting out you have zero information and plenty of emotion. Bogleheading (buy SPY regularly, never check your account balance) is the optimal meta at that point.

Later on, if you have brains and emotional control, you can branch out into using leverage, value investing, bubble investing, day trading, tons of other stuff. But just aping into the hot new ticker on reddit or TikTok is a surefire way to burn money.

No, retardation is people who choose bad careers, stagnate, spend every cent they earn, or don't have a backup network if their company lays them off. A doctor or lawyer pulling in six figures does not need a "side hustle" selling books or daytrading options or whatever Tate shills.

>I need multiple income streams, which has me looking at hobby income and stocks.
There's a reason all those gurus have to sell those courses - 97% of people can't just snap their fingers and beat the market. And plenty of hobby income pays $shit/hour, especially compared to working on your core job.
