It's more complicated like some other anons have said I actually think religious people are more likely to get at what he actually means then modern secular people. He despises normie seculars then religious people who in his view are just absent mindedly maintaining leftovers from religion and are incapable of looking critically at it or being engaged with life. Sheeple were his main enemy, most of his religious stuff if you understand what german Christianity was like and the impact of the protestants, and how early Christianity worked he was just kind of wrong on some basic facts.
The early/medieval Christians who heavily incorporated the greeks can integrate some of his insights pretty well imo. Protestants quite intentionally rejected the Greeks/philosophy and Nietzche was living in the most protestant countries several centuries into that movement.

The main concern is Christianity basically being used as a way to turn away from reality, which is something it CAN fall into and believers should be careful of. Nieztche's main attitude is basically an affirmation of reality, and anything contrary to that being vile. Protestants who rejected the greeks essentially were rejecting the place of natural reason and the natural world for giving us any insights into reality, so his hate makes sense and he is correct. Same with his criticism of eastern philosophies. This Christianity that maintains it's attachment to the greeks and reality though it isn't really a real threat so long as you have a decent understanding. I've found reading him to be very profitable.

There is enough evidence to suggest that if we had all that the Greeks wrote we would have already had insights like Nietzsche gave us aplenty. In truth, from the texts and fragments we do have from the Greeks there is wisdom there that is quite unparalleled in the western canon, but it's mostly hinted at by way of reference to that or homage to this. With Nietzsche we have his words, even allowing for Ree, Levy afterwards and so on.

I used to be like you, then I read some Nietzsche I had collecting dust in my book collection on an airplane and realized he is a real deal artist and poet.
