Guys you know how options feel? Like when you see +300%? I just started doing testosterone and I think its better than that.

I injected 300mg of test yesterday and I feel like I am cumming all over my body. I had a two hour back/bicep workout and I went so hard I have bruises. This is definitely financial advice... possibly the best investment I have ever made in my life.

I mean the stock is close to pricing in bankruptcy, they will probably survive 2024 if things stay as they are, but 2025 they run into some issues, plus I dislike that they make equity investments in their tenants and give them loans. Hard to do due diligence when the tenants are private companies. Anyway thoughts? Are you slurping that dipperino?

I think we should print even more money so the market goes even higher for the sole reason that it's extremely funny watching doomers get ideologically gaped when the line goes up. I love seeing other people realize the dollar backstops the entire world, you can watch the knot get tied in their brain processing it in real time. The line is literally only allowed to go up and every time it goes down all the buying everyone that knows this does ensures that it will only ever go up. I used to think chapelle or carlin were the greatest comedians of all time but they don't even hold a fucking candle to the fed. The greatest joke ever told is the national debt and the punchline is that it will ever matter in any real term ever to anyone with a brain.

schd is great if at least 3% of your pile per year is enough to retire off of right now, because of capital appreciation and dividend growth it will grow faster than inflation, so you never need to touch it. They are also qualified which is good. There are higher yields out there, but I would expect them to stagnate rather than grow like schd. They also may not be qualified.

I still wouldn't recommend schd if still accumulating and needing to multiply your wealth several times over, it's just a place to dump an already huge pile of cash to live off of forever.

In a way he's right. However, the gov can just declare more money to exist whenever they want so in my opinion that's not a problem. Totally legitimate concern for a retiree who needs the checks to come on time though. If the gov defaults even temporarily it will fuck up bond repayment dates and of couse if you are in funds rather than manually buying-and-holding to maturity you'll get obliterated by the sudden drop in value as others panic sell and the fund is forced to liquidate.

Given that BTC is too pumped to get rich from anymore unless you have like $1,000,000 invested, will anyone buy MSTR or miners to hold leverage takes on the price that aren't options or leveraged ETFs that can wreck you left with nothing? At least with stocks you hold something that if the trade goes in the wrong direction you can still baghold and hope for the future.

However, because giantic retards that thought Fink would make them rich, the prices have been too high due ETF frontrunning for months, and halving is bearish for the price until real demand kicks in since it just potential can bankrupt miners.

I know some people that got rich from stuff like RIOT or MARA and others that got obliterated. What is your gameplan for the next 6 months if you have these in mind? anyone YOLOing at certain prices?

Our lives are held together by the community we've helped build, and the neighbors we have looking out for us, as well as the God who created this lovely green earth. You sound power drunk, lonely, angry, and self-deceived.

The idea that our parents become worthless, simply because you don't want to have to sweep a stairwell or help pave the street in front of your townhome is pretty darn despicable and low.

so put my money in VTI and get 9% annual pretax? ill take my chances to beat the market because bogleheads say "professionals cant do it, so neither can you". institutional investors can't liquidate, have to diversify, can't hold cash for long periods of time, and can't invest in nano or small caps. this has been talked about by institutional investors saying retail investors actually have a lot of advantages to outperform the indexes. the fact that they can beat the index or average it with how they have to manage their funds is impressive. i'm sure if hedge fund employees could invest in personal accounts they could probably outperform the index quite easily.

the second argument is most people are terrible investors. because most have no clue how to value or follow a company. they just throw their money into stocks often times having 30 plus stocks in their portfolio that they probably haven't done good DD on. also they trade options unprofitably, daytrade unprofitably, and all kinds of other stupid shit

i am still studying hence the books but it would require you to understand a business very very well. like you know exactly every line item on their balance sheet, income, and cash flow. you understand the industry and what advantages the company has that will play out in the future (you are 90% sure). and you also understand how that intrinsically plays into the value of the stock and its price. you really won't find this in big companies as "its priced in" is pretty much true. most these opportunities would be in nano/small or even midcap.

think bill ackman level DD you have to basically be a very good financial analyst and also able to find some sort of niche in the market.

warren hasnt beaten the market in decades. 97% of active managers fail to beat their index. when you actively invest, you are betting that you know more than all market participants. the probability that you have better more correct information vs all market participants is highly unlikely. every trade has a winner and a loser, why would you assume you always have better information than the person opposite of a trade, dont they know something, dont they read investing books too, dont they too believe in warren buffest investing wisdom? learning a set of investing skills and strategies may benefit you in the short term, but eventually the alpha generated from those skills will dwindle and your edge will as well. people DO beat the market in the short term. but portfolio managers cannot consistently do this, which leads indexers to believe that is in fact luck and not skill. i cannot stop you its your time and capital, but when you inevitably under-perform dont say we didnt try to save you

We (the United States) make cushy European welfare states possible by providing for, and thus subsidizing, their national defense at our own expense, to the point where it's bankrupting our country. European countries spend only a fraction of what we do on their military, and yet they expect us to protect them free of charge. European governments need Biden to be reelected so that he will keep sending troops and financial aid to Europe. Call your congressman and tell them to investigate European election interference on behalf of Joe Biden, and to sanction European governments accordingly for the direct threat that they pose to US democracy.

LLMs aren't closed source.
openai might have some closed source they've included in their suite of tools. of course, but that would by definition be proprietary work not reviewed by the peer community thus subject to potential bias that will put an end to the commercial viability of their GPT. that's the problem with AI, it doesn't just have one foot still in academia -- it is academia. it has one finger in the real world.
the other serious flaw of LLMs is that most of the work is done in python, which isn't very viable, but that's just a relatively small engineering challenge that will be overcome in the future.
even if everything continues in their favor for a little while, there is nothing openai has done that's proprietary that cannot be reproduced by another team of people equally knowledgeable in the field. like with all esoteric computer science, they are already there, working on their BS and MS right now, in the thousands, and it's just a matter of time on that point as well.
it has literally never been the case that a company built a piece of software that someone else couldn't figure out, completely blind, how to reproduce. not once.
it has always been the case that upon finding out how someone else's black box works, teams of people occasionally think of their own black box that's slightly different, and then they build that, rather than producing an open source clone. in fact that's what made microsoft initially successful.

Kek a nice little perk of my employer. Unused vacation time, they let you roll that into your 401k at retirement as a tax free boost option. So example right now I've got roughly $10,000 worth of vacation time (web portal tells me the dollar value of it). Under IRS regs I can roll $7,500 of that into my 401k. The remainder they cut me a check for. My unused Sick & Comp time is used as service credit towards retirement.

>We trust them on this?
Fuck no you don't trust anybody on any economic prediction. Consider as an example the fed first saying inflation would be transitory and that they saw no reason to raise interest rates any time soon then a few months later they're raising them the fastest in history. And that's a group of some of the smartest economists in the world making predictions about policies they have direct control over. You think the fucking IMF has any real insight into the impact of AI, a field they collectively have absolutely zero expertise in, and they are making this prediction for some indeterminate time in the future to boot. Listen, anon, they know nothing. Nobody knows the unemployment rate 2 months from now much less 2 years or 2 decades. Nobody knows anything. It's all speculation. If you take the best predictions from the most preeminent economists throughout the 20th century and put it on a probability line it would look like a standard distribution for the simple fact it's a coin toss. The best of the best are no better than chance in the long term. The IMF knows nothing and their predictions should be held to similar regard as a horoscope and for similar entertainment value

I've done some simulations and the optimal daily leverage for the S&P is right around 3x, you get a few % better CAGR than 2x but it does make a difference in the long run. That's assuming your leverage is a perfect multiplier though and has no fees/tracking error so take it for what it's worth

the profit margin on those gpus are a lot higher than that dude. they will get closer to several billion from it. i think the h100s cost like 100k to make and sell for 400k. so $10 billion will give them at least $2.5 billion.
