If it was priced in, we'd be at 100k+ already

Miners rushing to be the first to inscribe the next bitmap. Bidding wars have started.

Nope. The BTC halving is not just an issue of sentiment. It has actual implications on the cost structure of the miners as well as the supply of BTC on the market. After halving, the miners get fewer rewards for the same amount of computing power. Additionally, the demand for bitcoin remains constant while the supply curve changes. These two factors will push the price of Bitcoin higher. They can't be priced in before they actually happen.

It's amazing how many people miss such a simple concept, but I guess it's for the best lol

But over 93% of all bitcoins have already been mined. Every halving has less and less of an impact on the overall supply. At this point the hype and marketing are far more impactful.

Only 450 coins will be created per day after this halving, Bitcoin's scarcity is a significant driver of its value proposition, and as the supply becomes scarcer over time, the focus on demand and its associated elements becomes more pronounced...i wonder what will be the breakeven price for miners.

Nothing will happen before or during the halving. It will crab sideways for the next 6-9 months. Then probably start going up.

That's what people say before every halving. It was never priced in.

Crypto was also never featured in superbowl commercials in the past, and it could always get more mainstream. Now it's as mainstream as it's ever going to get.

In the past I used to only catch some random mention of a halving here and there around the time it was happening. Now it's been shouted about everywhere more than a year in advance.

I guess we'll see.
