Pretty decent outlook if you're smart enough to buy and wait. If you're not a jeet, then look into Smolano on Solana. Solana memecoins are here to stay just like Eth memecoins.

opportunity cost vs regular investment. An index fund will net you an average annual rate of return of 12%.

So even "money you can afford to lose" like $100, after 30 years that's $3k. This sounds stupid but you really need to be careful with everything. What you can afford to lose is less than you think. Don't waste money on get rich quick pyramid schemes.Anything with a public blockchain it's easy to show how much people had and bought and sold, you can track the highest grossing wallets. Almost everyone lost. 99.9% broke even or worse. A big part of that is because transaction costs, even breaking even took more growth than typical stocks get.

Before you invest in or buy anything you should care what the opportunity cost is. Use calculators and look at your budget and realize every $100 you can scrounge up for index funds will basically 30x before you retire. Fuck your coins just invest properly.
