Chicken and frozen veggies. I buy a 6lb pack of frozen bell peppers and chicken thighs. I can roast everything in one pan with butter and garlic, I can fry the veggies on the stove and air fry the thighs if I bread them. I dont watch porn, I don't play videogames, I don't go out but once a month to maintain social relationships, and what the most entertainment I afford myself is watching a tv series here and there once or twice a week. Usually I self reward with learning about stocks / financial discipline / business.

I often tell myself I'll have a few drinks alone on my cheat day but almost never do because drinking alone is boring. I am operating at max human efficiency given my circumstances. It has taken years and baby steps and many failures to get here but I am now solidified into a path of pure unadulterated growth, physically mentally and spiritually. Its slow because I just wait tables for a living, but relative to all my peers who are indebted or spend all their earnings, I'm actually accumulating wealth.

Eat whatever veggies are in season where you live. This should make up half your plate. Buy from farmers' markets and Asian marts for better prices than most grocery stores. This should give you lots of vitamins and fiber.

1/3 of your plate needs to be some kind of protein. The kind is mostly a matter of taste. Tofu, Tempeh and seitan can be very cheap and freeze well, but there are people who refuse to eat it as they see it as a threat to their masculinity. IMHO if your masculinity is threatened by food, your masculinity sucks. Eggs are popular if you can find them cheap, but be wary of the cholesterol. Fish and birds are good options and can be cheap if you are willing to try less popular species of fish. Red meat should be a treat due to being very unhealthy. Avoid pork: it's almost as bad as red meat.

The remaining fraction should be carbs, ideally something unrefined as much as possible. Brown rice, lentils, whole wheat flour, ect. Never buy bread as it's full of sugar. Make bread or biscuits if you want bread with a meal.

You can save a lot by learning sous-vide recipes for your meats. Pork and brisket come out great. Brisket can get close enough to prime rib after 72 hours at 130F. This will bring down costs while keeping flavour.

Buy a hand crank deli slicer for 10s of dollars. Makes it easier to snack on the above after the main meal. Also makes sandwiches if you want to change it up or are craving carbs.

Just be consistent in whatever diet you're choosing. Paleo, carnivore, whatever. If you're going carb heavy, practice intermittent fasting so you fuck up your body less with insulin resistance.
