XRP is the same kind of non inflationary asset that you can protect your purchasing power with.

Also Gary was on the news saying the same thing, that bitcoin is a store of value but he said that its a volatile asset which is true. But if your holding it long term the volatility does not really matter. In fact your purchasing power against the dollar will go up over time.
