One in particular, but it's been a pain in the ass trying to compare it because i couldn't find any matching coin online. It's a beautiful roman provincial coin from Asia minor (near Caria or Phrygia i think).
The writings are in greek so your alphabet converter have been useful (in many occasions) but yielded no results for me here.
What's extra bizarre is the coin came with very detailled descriptions in paper notes, and from a legit seller who specialize on ancient numismatics and have 100% positive feedbacks (that i checked manually, it's legit), so i'm maybe just too paranoid, but it bother me to not find a matching coin online.

They're alright. Those 2 were my first ounces of gold and I was shocked (nearly embarrassed) at the small size. I recall being so excited ordering 2 ounces of gold for the first time - the first time I had ever ordered pure gold - only to be met with 2 small items the size of gumdrops and paying nearly $4,000 for it.

Yes, weight + diameter for each. It's needed since i put most back on sale, and only keep for myself the ones i felt an affinity with. It started slowly, but now i've few hundreds sales and 100% positive feedback, the sales are going much faster, even have few regulars.

My modus operandi is to purchase old silver coins sold as lots, often going by the weight, and there is always few oddities in those, mostly from the XIXth century, that i then list individually. It's the bulk of my sales, and i add the big chunks of constitutional junk making the majority of the lots to my personal stack.
Just last week in just one lot weighting 200gr i found super rare 50 banis from Romania, 1/2 franc from napoleon, Franz I's 20 kreuzers, key date on Alfonso XIII pesetas, coins of 15 silver sols, etc...
And the rest were the usual LMU coins plus some british half crown 6 pences, etc.. (i hate british silver, but i own a big chunk of it now).

With just the diameter and weight along with reference tables, you cango very far authenticating coins
Id recommend decimal inch dial calipers; i tend to avoid digital ones becaus the batteries dont last forever, dial calipers have no batterie in them.

ps : in this lot, the middle coin is heavier than it should. It's not unusual for coins from the preindustrial era to have slight weight divergences, i see it all the time, but here it's pretty big : over 10% (3.4g instead of 3 iirc).
Upon close inspection i'm certain it's a legit coin, and i bought it from a numismatic store who gave me bills and references for it. But i found it odd.

For late 1700s and newer coins no, such a wide variance isn't normal. I looked around and found weights from 2.9-3.2g listed for the coin which suggests they weren't very precise with the thickness of the rolled silver strips they cut planchets from, the wear on the coins I looked at wasn't nearly enough to be a significant factor. I dunno what was going on in Geneva in 1794 but the coin is referred to as a "Revolutionary" issue, so if things were a bit spicy and hectic at the time then an unusually wide variance wouldn't concern me. It's a thicc outlier but looks legit to me.

Good to know, i never bought any coin from there but i said that because i know they have damn cheap international shipping fees. I often ordered sealed sets and bulk singles from new releases from there and Malta for my MTG store over the years because of it.

Sorry for id-switching fren. I've definitely succumbed to the semitic sirens' song too, getting burned hurts but those instances have been very valuable learning experiences which motivated me to be more observant and get better educated so I wouldn't fall for the same thing the next time. If you did want to flip them, I'm no expert but some coins like these certainly do end up going up in value significantly, just look at the aputanias. The actual gains are unlikely to be that big and given the premiums on these things it's a bit of a gamble but when it's a coin you'd like to own regardless then that sort of offsets the risk anyway.
In this case I'd say weebshit is a bit of a niche within PM stacking so these might be desirable, but the premiums I'm seeing are already pretty wild.

He posted some international articles of silver monster boxes then started accusing posters of claiming it was theres, while simultaneously stating it wasnt. Anons do their best to ignore these shills, but they have completely ruined pmg by being big nosers. And the big nosers wonder why they've been expelled from so many countries
