Do we even know if there's retail boomer interest in these ETFs? What if they underperform?

They had money to spend then. They don't now.
That aside, the retail boomers will be along just in time for the dump, as usual.

>> No.57252799

They've already put a ton of money on commercial marketing. Boomers will be seeing btc ads 24/7 while watching their soaps and/or the price is right.

They will reallocate from money markets and their existing portfolio idiot. They're not wagies.

I don't think that's the same at all. The commercials will be like vanguard telling every boomer that it's a safe investment and it "goes up 5% every year". Also, blackrock is planning on telling their employees to suggest the ETFs to all their clients at banks and etc. It's all happening behind the scenes. The Cathie Wood tweet above is just a small glimpse of what they're doing to lure in boomers.

Boomers are still investing in commercial real estate, print media, non-online retail etc

They will buy a crypto ETF purely because they can't figure out how to otherwise, but they only buy super inflated bags long in the euphoria stage of the cycle.
Plenty of autists here will use a Roth or whatever to be able to access tax advantaged btc in the interim

Retail isn't the target, BTC ETFs are already the largest ETF launch in history and they haven't even launched yet, you don't get these kinds of fee bidding wars from the largest asset managers in the world without them feeling the demand, you don't get Dimon bending the knee to King Bitcoin without them feeling the demand. The great thing about economic solutions is you don't need to understand why they work for them to work.

Exactly. And they aren't going to hard sell going all in, they'll suggest it as a mirror position as an uncorrelated asset, which it is

I dont give a shit about ETF because BTC is too pumped to get rich, I need 2x leverage.

Miner stocks are too risky, so im thinking MSTR.

Will this dump due premium too high now and then pump?

Yes. They will buy it up like crazy. They have money to burn. This will be like a trip to the casino nickel slots for them. They’ll also enjoy sounding hip and cool for owning crypto. Then the bottom will fall out.

The ETF is ultimately inconsequential. It allows institutions to hold bitcoin that can easily be seized by the government. None of my boomers are really into Bitcoin but I've made myself available to explain it to people I trust. Once the halving happens and Bitcoin really starts putting up numbers in USD then there's going to be a lot of interest so the goal is to capture it and funnel it to blackrock and whatever other snake pit nice within the comfy confines of the Federal Reserve system. I would hope the inevitable Boomer money comes in the form of privately or custodially held Bitcoins, not this ETF dogshit.
