Right, the advantage of using a mathematical model (specifically this is the Kirchhoff-Love plate theory) is that you can define the physical properties (thickness, radius, metallic composition) and generate any set of frequencies without needing a dataset. As a bonus, you can also compare that to other metals of a disc of that size to help detect fakes. For example, in my output you can see the frequencies of elements that are often used in fake gold coins like tungsten. Even though gold and tungsten have a similar density, so their size could be identical, tungsten vibrates about twice as high as gold which would look very obvious on a spectrograph.

There are so many moving parts that it's pretty impressive the whole thing doesn't just shatter like brittle glass. My take on all of this is that all of the nations agree on 5+ year long economic agreements. The banks can do their best to help move things along to promote normalcy. But at some point these nations will be renegotiating trade and ultimately a massive jubilee will have to occur. And that manifests itself with a massive move higher in PMs as that can clear the debts and also keep the banks capitalized.

Jan 2012 silver was around ~$29oz == 3.4oz for $100

Today its currently $34.33 an oz == ~$116 for the 2012 purchase

Inflation was 26% over that 10 year period (average 2.3%)

Purely by numbers without the premium I would have beat inflation by ~10%. Premiums go both ways btw. You don't sell at spot, or shouldn't. But again you wouldnt know that.
