QC Copper up 33% today to 0.16c, on the back of their new discoveries at their Opemiska open-pit mine. The mine now boasts Canada’s highest grade copper mine to date. 2 billion tonnes of copper.

We’ve also brought up this topic many times since the Big Onion transaction was completed, and it’s always the same jeet this jeet that. Ok maybe some people think he’s an Indian Grahame O’Neill, but the reality is Big Onion took a lot of cash and operating expenses just to pay for the annual permitting. You can’t just sit on mines in BC and somehow not keep up with all the ministry of Natural Resources permit requirements.

Besides, now BLLG can focus on the important deposits at Dome Mountain and Big Onion can sit there ad infinium until a big player comes and buys it out.

>> No.57229137

>>57228953
permitting isnt really the issue, you can role that ahead as many times as you like, its the assessment work to keep the property that gets stupidly expensive the longer you hold it without doing physical work. Rana could have done a drill program over Onion and kept it in good standing for a decade, but that costs a fortune, and would take away funding from Dome Mountain. Onion is a huge chunk of claim groups, and while you can put work on claims connected / next to the ones where work was done, the wider the area, the more work that needs to be done.

ACNR, formerly Murray Energy, is not the best coal company out there.

ACNR's West Virginia mines, which were sold to Murray Energy by CONSOL, would be much better off going back to CONSOL ownership.

>> No.57230179

>>57230159
The mines CONSOL sold to Murray were Shoemaker, Robinson Run, Blacksville 2, McElroy, and Loveridge. Murray immediately got rid of these traditional, long-time names and renamed these mines by their county of location.
ACNR/Murray is known as impersonal, authoritarian, badly managed, and not a great place to work for coal miners.

By the way, ACNR stands for American Consolidated Natural Resources, which was a renaming of Murray Energy after Murray had some major coal mine disasters.
It is a private company, so you cannot buy shares in it.

>> No.57231450

>>57231269
Plus, you probably wouldn't want to buy shares in it, since they recently had a major mine fire. ACNR also manages Foresight Energy in southern Illinois, who Mach mine in Marion, IL was recently shut down to some major problem they were keeping under wraps.
So ACNR and its stooge, Foresight Energy, are not good coal companies. They need to be bought out and reorganized through and through by a real company like CONSOL or Alliance.
Alpha Met is good but they only want to do met coal -- be a pure play metallurgical coal company -- which is likely a smart move by them, since their stock keeps reaching all time highs.
