1)The ETF won't be approved till there are no crypto regulations.
2)The ETF will work as a way to manipulate the market price of BTC just like is done with precious metals, it's not a good thing, yet it still cannot be approved since they need regulations for entities to be able to buy it (and be bailed out).
3) Unfortunately Ripple vs SEC won't be settle till they regulations are in place.
4) It's an election year is not popular to approve the regulation, so most likely will como next year.

1) create a binance account
2) buy a hardware wallet either; Ledger or DCENT or Xumm or Ellipay or Trezor wallet
3) transfer funds to binance and buy XRP
4) send the funds from Binance to your hardware wallet

If you are in the US it's the same thing but instead of Binance use Uphold or Kraken

Wallet is just the interface you use to interact with the blockchain. Send, receive, etc. The only tangible thing is the seed phrase that is generated for your wallet. That is essentially your way into the blockchain. The physical device wallets like Ledger, Trezor, D'Cent, are called hardware wallets. They are capable of generating seed phrases in their chips, which is then displayed in the device's screen, which you then write down or engrave into a piece of fireproof metal somewhere. The purpose of a hardware wallet as opposed to a desktop or app-only wallet is to make sure that the mechanism to generate the seed phrase is done on a device outside of a vulnerable place like a computer or phone, and to sign transactions on the hardware device instead of on your computer/phone. That being said, don't get Ledger, they've done some shady shit I'm not gonna bother explaining go and research it. Note that if you do get a hardware wallet, the seed phrase you've written down somewhere is more important than the physical device you bought. You use a pin code or fingerprint to sign transaction on the device, and the info is then broadcasted to your computer/phone where you can "see" the transaction there. If you forget your pin code, it's not the end of the world. Don't lose your sneed phrase though, that would be the end of the world.

https://www.thenationalnews.com/business/banking/2023/11/28/uae-central-bank-renews-49bn-currency-swap-deal-with-china/
The UAE Central Bank and the People’s Bank of China signed an agreement in Hong Kong to renew their bilateral currency swap pact for five years, to boost financial and economic ties.

The size of the agreement is Dh18 billion ($4.9 billion), the UAE regulator said in a statement on Tuesday.

A foreign currency swap is an agreement to exchange currency between two parties, in which they swap principal and interest payments on a loan made in one currency for a loan of equal value in another currency.

The two banking regulators also signed an initial pact to enhance technical and technological co-operation in the development of central bank digital currencies, the UAE Central Bank said.

After four years, I can offer you the best advice you'll hear here: If you're serious about XRP, set a bag goal, fill it, and then set it aside. Since filling my bag, I've promised not to buy any more XRP. My life has greatly improved since. I've started setting new goals, engaging in new activities, and investing money in other fields like side projects. Before, for the past four years, I would wake up and instantly check the XRP price, hoping I had become rich. But not once was I happy looking at the chart; it was just pure demoralization. Free yourself, fill the bag, and forget about it.

ODL has a net negative effect on price due to this once a quarter ripple unofficially does a buyback on the open market which results in a short term pump followed by a slow bleed for months afterwards. These "buyback pumps" vary from around ~50% to 250%, on average depending on market conditions. Assuming bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market will be doing OK when this happens, we can expect a 2-3x pump for xrp.

>marketcap

Market cap is the multiplication of last trading price x circulating supply.

In other words, someone could create a coin with a 100 billion supply and buy a few of the coins for $11 dollars and its market cap would exceed a trillion dollars. Does this mean that a trillion dollars have been pumped into the coin? No, not even a hundred dollars, yet its market cap is over a trillion. This simple example illustrates how naïve market cap discussions are when it comes to crypto.

XRP’s price will be determined by utility, not by market cap. For example, SWIFT moves around $5 trillion dollars per day. $5 trillion divided by 100 billion XRP = $50 dollars per coin, and this is assuming that SWIFT owned all the supply. XRP is going after more than just SWIFT, it is going after a $2.7+ quadrillion market. Market cap means nothing.

XRP will handle much more than SWIFT; it will eliminate the need for nostro accounts (worth $27 trillion), tap into the $2.7 quadrillion global transfer market, as well as interact with other blockchains and technologies. In other words, if XRP’s price was low, it wouldn’t be able to handle the trillions/quadrillions within its 100 billion coins.

XRP will likely be pegged to precious metals and/or a basket of assets to make the price even more stable and liquid over time, likely by governments, central banks, and institutions like the IMF.

I'm not so sure. Sure, the SEC fucked us and kept us from enjoying the last bullrun, however we almost hit $2 during 2021 during the lawsuit for no apparent reason, and even in July when the first announcement came out that XRP was not a security, XRP immediately rocketed to 90c.
Outside of the US, no one cares about the SEC.
There is something else at play, probably Ripple suppressing the price.

>>57190433
I do wonder why the SEC has not gone after other larger coins, Solana being the obvious one, and ETH as it was clearly a security offering at some point. I know the game is still at play vs ripple, but there are some easier targets that they are essentially ignoring and it's not entirely clear why, apart from absolute corruption.

Maybe Ripple is intentionally preventing the price action until the final decision of the SEC and/or settlement. As a tactic to protect XRP holders until the train tracks are clear of all obstacles. Looking for expensive luxery cars is a big sell/top signal.

How much XRP do you have and how much do you expect it to rise that you literally piss away money on useless depreciating assets like stupid porsche cars?

At least a nice home or something somewhere is sustainable, might even grow in value over time.

But wasting money on stupid cars? Now that is something that really is a stupid thing unless you expect to have millions extra you don't know how to spend elsewhere

>> No.57200862

Sorry for using the word 'stupid' alot I didn't mean to sound insensitive I think it was mostly because I am also frustrated by this price action.

>> No.57200870

>>57200850
You are 100% correct.

I would only buy those cars if the sum of its cost would come from dividends of 1 year.

If I make some millions off XRP, I would slowly rotate towards high dividend yield ETFs + SP500 ETF + Nasdaq 100 ETF.

But yeah, XRP would have to be over 50$ for me to achieve that. And that's about a 100x from current prices.

OP (or whoever bakes next thread), can you please change the schizo rambling pasta to the one that was under (powerful) in the next OP. I understand not including the three and think including only one is the most economical way, but the (powerful) one was the most updated/revised by several months of data and in some areas (relative sizes of partner banks etc.) 2 years worth of data update. Here is the pasta that was priorly in the OP. The current one is good, just not up to date on a number of important CBDC partnerships announced, Metaco, etc:

more buying pressure on XRP supply will allow Ripple to dump more efficiently, this is bullish. the escrow should be drained by January 2027 instead of July-September 2027 because of this. bullish, WAGMI.

For any baker, as much as I like the powerful aspect and find it funny, really would suffice to just include the new pasta under the current section in place of old. It is basically a living document I am updating as needed/as new stuff comes out so including the new is like including the maturing version of the old, which will itself be preserved in older threads. It probably will be safer and more cleanly preserved for other bakers' consideration as well. I really sincerely appreciate (and find funny in the way aimed) the intent though.
