This is a problem. No amount of research and risk management will make a difference if 98% of your investments turn bad instantly and stay that way. I bought and mined tons of shitcoins for 10 years. Dozens of coins. Of those my htmlcoin stack was worth about 15k usd for a day or two before crashing. None of the others were ever worth anything at all. I used the forex simulators for 3 years. Again 98% fail rate. It's discouraging to say the least. I still throw $50 into an alt coin every once in a while but I'm currently underwater on everything except link which I bought at 2.50. Luck is illogical, not quantifiable or measurable. It's also real. I just want to pay off my house.
