Reminder that European governments are shilling for Biden because they want more free handouts. We (the United States) make cushy European welfare states possible by providing for, and thus subsidizing, their national defense at our own expense, to the point where it's bankrupting our country. European countries spend only a fraction of what we do on their military, and yet they expect us to protect them free of charge. European governments need Biden to be reelected so that he will keep sending troops and financial aid to Europe. Call your congressman and tell them to investigate European election interference on behalf of Joe Biden, and to sanction European governments accordingly for the direct threat that they pose to US democracy.

Ok... update on my Hello Fresh ($HELFY) misery... Fuck this company
So this morning I got an email saying my first package would be here today, even though they also canceled my subscription after swallowing $300 in gift cards. So I'm like, "Ok, I'll wait for the package so I have something positive to say when dealing with customer support about the other issues." The email had a tracking code, but no carrier info... so I didn't know where to paste it in. Googling the code didn't return anything. Later in the day, I check my account and it just says "Delivered". No other info. Odd. I look at my front door, no package. Not by the mailbox either. I walk around the building and check other places that carrier sometimes leave packages. Nothing. Maybe it was stolen... maybe it never existed... idk... but now I've got THREE problems with HELFY to deal with. I do not understand how this company is still operating. Are they being secretly propped up by the German government or something as some kind of clandestine op to piss of Americans? I've never had a more absurd experience dealing with any company. Not even health insurance. I guess this is why their stock chart looks like this... it should definitely be worse. If this were an American company, it would have been allowed to go bankrupt by now.

Someone explain to me why being locked into having a small selection of repetitive meal kits or ready meals (factor) delivered to me at fixed intervals from a single supplier that sponsors schizo youtube channels is better than buying a greater variety of ingredients and ready meals from a choice of different grocery stores at a time and quantity of my choosing, and I can still get it delivered to my door.

It's for idiots who enjoy the "experience" of cooking new things. They enjoy it so much they're willing to pay money to have it forced upon them. Apparently there's tons of those "idiots" (women) out there, because HELFY is still in business. It's not a coincidence that the one who had the idea to get me HELFY gift cards for Christmas was my sister (because she enjoys it so much). I personally do not enjoy cooking at all. It's something I do because it's necessary to eat, and I mostly cook stuff that requires almost zero effort.
I will say... the packaging that the ingredients came in was colorful and pretty. If you like bright colors and glossy marketing materials, than a HELFY subscription may be for you (aka you're an idiot). Substantively though... the ingredients are tiny and don't look like high quality.
Are there enough idiots out there to push HELFY's stock price up? idk man... idk...

You see what 100g is, basic metric. You see what 150gr is, what would be serving size.

Everything side by side, no fat or thinner letters. Just perfect way to compare.

I do think most of the Western media (especially anything in English) is way harsher on China than it should be. It's also a very opaque country, like a light version of NK. it's just really hard to tell for sure what's actually going on over there.

In theory we could do what Brazil did and get rid of it using yield curve control but that would be an extremely stupid thing to do. It's because you can run a reasonable economy with a smattering of banks, utilities, small industries, resource companies, whatever. Open any random country's ETF and look at its top holdings; 9/10 of them are that shit. Problem is those all have very little chance for innovation or non-population-based growth.

However in addition to being generically pro-business, the US has techshit: an ecosystem of autists, venture capitalists, illegals, and H-1Bs that fund the growth of Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, NVIDIA, DoorDash, all that innovative shit. That's where you get an economy that meaningfully does and earns more than it did last year.

Yeah I spent a few years after highschool freelancing before I decided I really needed a degree and went to the local community college.
I did take out a loan my last semester but that took a year to pay off. These people with life crushing amounts of debt didn't think about what they were doing and created a really horrible bubble that all of their peers (us) had to deal with. They deserve it.

I wish we didn't make it illegal to use bankruptcy protection on student loans, that would have avoided the situation in the first place but here we are.

Number 6 for example
>Using the last 10 days of data, calculate the correlation between the daily open price and the daily volume for each stock
>Long the stocks with low correlation, short the stocks with high correlation
This one makes the most sense out of the first 10.

What the fuck is number 1 on about?
>... ((returns < 0) ? stddev(returns, 20) : close) ...
>Construct a new vector with the following rule: for each element in returns, if the value is less than 0, take the 20 day vol, else take the close price
>then raise each element to the power 2
>then, out of the last 5 days, which day has the highest numerical value
>Long the stocks with a recent max day, short the stocks with a lagged max day
There is no way this statistically significantly out-performs random stock selection!

I'm a bear but I hate crashes. They happen for no apparent reason. Or maybe it is the fuckin FAKE PUMPS that make it so annoying, despite being a new short opportunity.

Literal scampumps each and every time

Just get ready to buy cheapies after the crash.
If you are adventurous, then buy SOXS, DRV, and FAZ.
After the volatility spike wipes out SVIX, that one is a good buy. My other cheapies I plan to buy are SOXL, DRN, and FAS and perhaps some JEPI or QYLD.

considering the shit momentum we started with, I'd guess it's gonna be red again today

Also what's up with all the chinks shills today? The narrative hasn't changed so far, the US just put restriction on ASML and they literally try all they can to stop Nvidia to stop selling to them.
