Reminder that European governments are shilling for Biden because they want more free handouts. We (the United States) make cushy European welfare states possible by providing for, and thus subsidizing, their national defense at our own expense, to the point where it's bankrupting our country. European countries spend only a fraction of what we do on their military, and yet they expect us to protect them free of charge. European governments need Biden to be reelected so that he will keep sending troops and financial aid to Europe. Call your congressman and tell them to investigate European election interference on behalf of Joe Biden, and to sanction European governments accordingly for the direct threat that they pose to US democracy.

Today's market wide sell off can be attributed by a single downgrade from Barclays. The last time AAPL was downgraded was back in 2022.>Barclays downgraded the stock to "underweight" from "neutral" and trimmed its 12-month price target by $1 to $160. Before Tuesday, Itau BBA's "sell" was the only bearish rating on Apple since July 2022.If you had believed this "analyst" then you would have missed out on 40% gains and AAPL hitting ATH. So why do these analysts have any bearing on the whole market when they themselves are guessing.

stocks n00b here, what exactly happens during "extended hours trading" or whatever we just had here today? I couldn't buy anything.
>>57163463Foxconn employee?
>>57163421Look at the financial statements the company Isn't growing. Revenues are down YoY how does this company warrant a 30 P/E? They're losing market share to Huawei and Xiaomi.
>>57161617I recently came across spicy bread and butter pickles. holy shit do these things make a fire chicken salad sandwich
>futes yeah I'm thinking we're back
>>57163554bought baba calls last month and today for china stimmies
>>57163631>todayWhy today man HSI seems like It's going to a new low...
>>57163575>what exactly happens during "extended hours trading"Premarket and after hours market trading is lower liquidity so big players skip it (unless something like an earnings release happens). Exact hours and holidays are spelled out here: https://www.nyse.com/markets/hours-calendars>whatever we just had here todayWhat do you mean? Today was a normal market day. Your broker should explain why they're not letting you buy shit.
>>57162194gave away some theta even with delta. we'll see tomorrow.
>>57163637because baba was just down for whatever happened with american markets today
>>57163575Block orders from cash session are filled, cash is settled, normal trading resumes on very low liquidity until the next cash session. You have from 9:30am est to 4pm est for trading monday-friday barring holiday's. Depending on the security and your brokerage you can partake in *ext* extended hours trading and lose money just like you would during the cash session. But i think you're asking the wrong question because today's cash session was normal hours and markets.

i would like to thank the january effect for my divyboomer stock gains today
>>57163703Wow that looks like an LETF masquerading as an energy company.
>>57162803oohlala, is there a bearish one?
The bottom is SPY 180.
The 6 month treasury is now yielding less than fed funds.
>>57163766SPXU & SPXS are your -3x SPY choices. Unfortunately nothing -4x (yet).
>>57163780Jerome is going to cuck long bond gamblers.
the yield curve is even more inverted. That means the only way to uninvert is for the fed to drop interest rates. Which it will do. And we will be back to your normal programming.
>>57163698yeah
>>57163780
>>57163824It looks to me like they're already thinking that.
>>57163840I think the bond market is expecting at least one cut in the first half of the year. Possibly before February.
I knew 2024 would be the year that the bubble will pop but not this soon KEK
>>57163841>It looks to me like they're already thinking that.elaborate, please?everything beyond 12 months is being heavily discounted to the Fed funds rate, which paints exactly the opposite picture of what you've stated.
>>57163858>I think the bond market is expecting at least one cut in the first half of the year. Possibly before February.
>>57163840>>57163877
>>57163664oh I'm not delta neutral. My theta was taxed at the same rate as I gained delta. Delta even would be the better term. If spy is down $1 tomorrow I'll have doubled my money.
>>57163867They're moving back up though while the short end is coming down.
>>57163891what an absolute unit
>>57163902>They're moving back up though while the short end is coming down.can you please be a bit more specific and not only give easily refutable blanket statements?what duration(s) are you talking about?you surely can not talk about the 10 year duration since it recently crashed about 25%
>>57163858>Possibly before February.
>>57163877I'm pretty sure all QE does is create credit driven bubbles in durable goods. It doesn't really seem to affect stock prices and it only seems to pin bond prices up.
>>57163920KEK
>>57163919Less than one year yields fell today (sans 3m which came in line with the terms around it) while longer term yields rose.
>>57163936I was going to use the webm in >>57162005 but checking with his lawyer also works. I mean a January cut is, what, like 13% odds on FedWatch?

A female broker just called me to make sure my account was doing well. She gave me her direct number in case I needed any help with anything. 2024 is off to a fantastic start.
>>57163956Never.
>>57163956Next few days, watch the heatmap.
>>57163940
>>57163966Did she offer to touch your benis?
>>57163956Well, have to wait 30 days to avoid a wash sale, so eom at the latest depending on how many days before eoy the harvesters sold
Nat gas bros, I have a question. My brothers and I inherited mineral rights to some acreage. 10 acres gross. We’ve been getting offers from various energy companies. Most recent was $400 net (each brother, but not per acre. Just a small lump payment) and then 16% royalties. I know a lot more info is needed to make the educated decision on if this is a good offer, but on its face does seem like shit or a good way to go? I know that the land has had wells on it for decades, so they may perhaps be mostly dried up, hence the low offer. Just looking for insight/advice from people who have dealt with this.
>>57163995Yeah it might just be noise.
>>57163999She touched my basis. Close enough.
>>57164020Be sure you are compensated adequately in case they never extract any resources. If the land could otherwise be used for agriculture, for example, make sure they pay a minimum that replaces that potential income. Also the agreement could cause problems if you ever try to sell. Sounds like these guys want to pay you practically nothing to have your balls in a vice. Set some terms like if minimum royalties of 50k per year not achieved within 5 years then the agreement is terminated. Make sure they are responsible for any environmental impact, crop damage, etc.
>>57164020You'll probably want to start your own thread for this.
>>57164020Bottle the farts yourself.
hello fellow soxlsissies, anyone else killing themselves later tonight?
Another day. A new year. Resolutions getting fulfilled. My monthly bagging of SWPPX.Had the green so I was like meh might as well get it over with.
>>57164020I've heard that it's not a great idea to refuse unless you're actively extracting because often they can slurp it out elsewhere and they only do this to avoid legal liability. That's just what I've heard though, I have zero experience trading mineral rights and very little with real estate in general.
Shit, I accidentally bought some May calls instead of March calls.
>>57164020Get a lawyer involved who does this kinda work. Don't blindly sign anything till then.
