I would be In the same situation if not for owning a condo. Mortgage and HOA come out to $1400. And the rest of my take home pay which is like $1600 goes to food gas and other things. I have barely any cash saved. Less than 2 grand. But you know what has been building up without me saving anything. Home Equity! This is why renting sucks.
