i've never used leverage. Is it worth throwing 20 bucks in to some random shit, like doing a 20 dollar scratch off but with better chances?

amplifies your gains but also your losses so depends if you're profitable

It's both a curse and a blessing. But to be fair the stress it causes is not worth it to me.
I used to be addicted to leverage trading but recently binance decided to disable my access (due to regional reasons) so I am free from this.
>inb4 just use another exchange or stop loss
Nah i'm content with holding now or trading spot

I still don't understand options trading, or how to use leverage, even after watching 5 separate videos on it.

I'm just simply low IQ. I have no other way to explain it.

I said stop to margin and leverage trading when I burned in few seconds $100 that my grandma gifted me for my birthday.
It wasn't even so degenerate, a 20x and it didn't even was a gamble, but few minutes after I opened my position, there was a flash crash, you know that kind of 1-3 minutes candles that generate massive wicks.
Yeah, liquidated in seconds.

I have never used leverage.
Why not go all in with massive amounts on stuff you know will go up long term?

Like im tempted to go all in on MARA with half a million, I know a 2x is realistc, but I also know btc mining has too much competition

Alternative would be, but MSTR and hope for ATH, if I fuck up, at least I still own the shares to a bitcoin proxy

I would get liquidated if AOC gets ellected vicepresident or some shit and the ban minning

I just need a 2x, and im at a million

im obsessed with having 1 million, and its just a few clicks and waiting away vs trying to start another online money making venture only to get fucked by faggot regulations

i just want 1 million and chillneet

did that a year ago and resigned to keep what was left invested in some stocks. had i pumped more money to invest in those stocks (like i eventually did) and i would have recovered from those losses. I think the lesson here is to stop fucking around with money on gambles, watch out for companies with good fundamentals and be patient

I can tell you about options that move in one direction. Calls are betting on stocks or coins to go up. Puts are betting on stocks or coins to go down. You generally buy contracts that are basically bets that a coin or stock will reach a certain price (Strike price) by a certain date (expiry date). But they do not necessarily have to move to that price by that date, as you can generally sell the contract prematurely and you do not have to hold the full duration. You also have to contend with Theta decay which is for every day you hold an option, that options contract starts to lose value if it does not move towards your strike price or worse moves against you. (to which you have to deal with theta decay and your contract losing value due to the price moving further away from your strike price). This is why you don't want to hold to expiry, and you want to buy contracts 2-3 month out (at the very least) while being absolutely sure it'll move in your direction. There's also a thing called IV (implied volatility) crush, which usually causes the contract to lose value too, if the IV moves from a really high number to a much lower number. This most often occurs when there's big news that is anticipated. Like for example, a earnings report usually cause options contracts to have increasingly higher IV, and they drop dramatically after the news is released which causes the options value to drop, even if you're right about the direction of the price.
The faster the stock price moves towards your options strike price, the more money you make.

It's about time you learned that OP. There are few rules that you shouldn't fuck with
>DON'T USE LEVERAGE
>DON'T SWING
>BE FUCKING PATIENT

And crypto is literally free money. You were an idiot, got fucked, now learn from this.

I literally doubled my money in 5 months just by not reading all your fucking blogs.
