When a currency is debased every company has to raise it's prices collectively.

Because when the news hits that trillions have been printed over night, people panic. The grocery stores have to pay the farmers they buy food from more because the farmers have to pay more equipment and fertilizer because the equipment and fertilizer store has to pay more on his rent for his house.
The business owners also own private property and all these people collective mortgages and rents and other associated costs go up, and they pass that cost along to the consumer in the form of price increases.
It's not "price fixing" (that term doesn't mean anything, businesses can set any price they want for their products) it's systemic cascading inflation.
Inflation, especially from currency debasement, is always systemic, it never effects just one category of the economy, because the entire economy is connected, and prices and costs all get past along, ultimately, to the end consumer.
The only guard against systemic poverty in an economic system is gainful employment or entrepreneurship by the working and middle class, which only happens when the working class posses skilled labor, or form unions.
