UPRO has a higher chance to go bust. But as long as the underlying asset keeps going up at the same rate it has been over the years, it will get better returns. You will get worse returns if it stagnates, or if it increases by a small amount (I haven't done the calculation but my guess is 2% increase per year in SPX then URPO volatility drag eats away at it). I would do more calculations on this before I put money in, but I do think putting some money in UPRO is fine, and isn't the retarded decision that many say (using an example where SPX doesn't increase in value to prove it's bad).

Cost of living is too high in the EU in my opinion. VAT and other taxes, cost to import energy, it's a long list. I spent a few weeks there to get an idea of how expensive it was as I did all the other places. Dubai is actually a pretty cheap place to live, I had an apartment there for a few years, same thing in Singapore.
