Disincentivises you from selling any of your stack. If everyone suddenly and without warning withdrew their stacks, it would likely jeopardise the security of the network.
As it is, if you don't intend to ever unstake your principal stack, you can then withdraw rewards whenever you please (after the first 3-month ramp-up period is complete)

I guess so. However the idea is to move away from paying nodes by token releases and changing to a staking model isn't something that will happen at the push of a button.

If Chainlink allows the community staking pool to be used as liquidity for node operators to fulfill their collateral then there needs some delay so they don't automatically find themselves disqualified if a Chainlink super omega bullrun takes place. Changing the unstaking period to something like 7 days would be as easy as changing a single number in a line of code.
