The problem with XRP isn't so much the new tokens Ripple is releasing into circulation every now and then (really isn't much vs the total supply so no big deal), but it's really because the news about XRP being declared a non-security by the judge happened while we were still in deep bear market territory. This led to a flash dump after the flash pump, which demoralized a shitload of bagholders (some of them whales) who cashed out as soon as they could. That and the market cap is already super bloated for XRP, and many see it as an ancient 2017 alt that won't return to ATH's again (like Litecoin).

It doesn't matter how ambitious a crypto project is, how fancy it's tech is, etc. It's all about momentum, hype and what type of huge whales are holding bags (some projects have hardcore bastard whales like VRA & SHIB who literally flash dump every 10% pump that happens, quite sad for the bagholders in those projects really).
