Social Media Has Brainwashed You Into Thinking the Economy is Bad

No one believes the governemt numbers on the economy because American institutions are mired in a credibility crisis. Two weeks to flatten the curve became two years of state-enforced hysteria, safe and effective became maybe it helps and myocarditis, the empire withdrew from Afghanistan in humiliation, elections get decided at 3 in the morning with nebulous claims about leaking pipes forcing polling staff out, and "transitory" inflation turned out to be anything but. Everyone hears the announcement that we're right on track to Building Back Better alongside the news of another round of layoffs, everyone hears the speculation about whether the fed needs to pivot because inflation has been tamed while their bills keep creeping up, and everyone watches the government flirt with a shutdown (again) because they're struggling to balance their books and then watches another hundred billion dollar check get written without hesitation to buy bombs to drop in some dump thousands of miles away. A palpable sense that very real problems are here and that even bigger ones may well be right around the corner fills the air, and every leader of thought or policy who's allowed to have airtime immediately handwaves it away as paranoia before resuming their vociferous debates over the proper age to perform genital mutilations on children vs young adults or whether or not heroine addicts should get their needles from the State or have to find them on their own.

Nobody believes in the US economy anymore because nobody believes in the people telling us it's going to be okay anymore. Everyone feels grim about the future because it's perfectly clear that this place is run by idiots.

Oy vey are you seeing information about prices from sources that aren't deemed as safe and reliable? It's already anti-semetic enough that you're skeptical of official Build Back Better™ statistics published by the government.

>> No.57000408

Why is it acceptable for our government to lie to us about the state of the country and then revise all of their statements to reality after their initial numbers are put in the headlines? Economic figures are revised lower every jobs report, every quarter of gdp growth is revised lower, actual inflation revised higher. How do the people in those institutions keep their jobs when they get the numbers wrong the first time every time?

>How do the people in those institutions keep their jobs when they get the numbers wrong the first time every time?

Because the federal statistical agencies fall under the umbrella of the executive branch, with each different agency ran by a POTUS selected director. Basically early runs of the gdp/unemployment statistics have high response so figured are "imputed" then as actual response comes in at later time, the estimates are revised downward. If one of the four largest companies in an industry sector reports a 15% increase in revenue, and the other three never respond to the survey, the other three companies get an imputed figure of 15% growth.

Behead journalists. Roundhouse kick a journalist into the concrete. Launch journalists into the sun. Stir fry journalists in a wok. Toss journalists into active volcanoes. Urinate into a journalist gas tank. Judo throw journalists into a wood chipper. Twist journalists’ heads off. Karate chop journalists in half. Trap journalists in quicksand. Crush journalists in the trash compactor. Liquefy journalists in a vat of acid. Eat journalists. Dissect journalists. Exterminate journalists in the gas chamber. Stomp journalist skulls with steel toed boots. Cremate journalists in the oven. Lobotomize journalists. Vaporize journalists with a ray gun. Kick old journalists down the stairs. Feed journalists to alligators. Slice journalists with a katana.

Nobody on social media is going to get (You)s or engagement by saying that we are actually doing exceptionally well. See picrel. But the problem is really twofold. On one hand, there are consumers wanting to see the world burn (be it fantasies of apocalypse or parental neglect causing this "fuck the system" mentality).
But you also have the socialists in the media and tech companies trying to push this "late stage capitalism" narrative used to justify their 2030 agenda and more control into and over people's lives.
If you really think about it, it's just an extension of the climate hysteria. In both cases there are underlying issues, that are magnified to delusional scales by the establishment to obtain power and propelled by social media algorithms. And then you've got retards like >>57000385 or >>57000389 pretending that the whole of the left and reddit and the mainstream media isn't fearmongering the coming collapse of the economy, America, and the West in general. Just two weeks till the collapse of capitalism since 1867.

Hard to believe official figures and "expert" opinions when they've been manipulated to hell and back, especially when they say weasel bullshit like "inflation is down (if you ignore food, fuel, rent and everything people need to live)!". Or say shit like "GDP line is going up, therefore economy good", yeah no shit gdp is going up when you print billions every week. Or say shit like "wages are going up, therefore economy good", when wages are going up 20% compared to food going up 50%. Or "Black Friday best evar, people spend more than ever before!", when prices are higher than ever before. Or "unemployment down, economy gooder!" when many of the unemployed are not counted and people on zero-hour contracts are counted as employed. Or "house prices are going up, therefore economy good!" when they are only going up because of a huge shortage, massive immigration, and blackrock snapping up homes to rent.

Man on the ground has a more real sense of the state of the economy compared to the economist in his lofty tower.

Reddit take. The “late stage capitalism” left is fringe that only exists online. IRL dems really do believe in bidenomics. The collapse narrative has more traction on the right thanks to MAGA boomers. But these are ultimately meaningless distinctions because the globohomo elite class is fundamentally united regardless of what color flag they happen to waiving at the moment.

The graph is not meant to showcase how the economy is doing, just the general hypocrisy of the people.
>The country's economy is not doing well. Oh what about me? I'm doing financially well, why you might be asking?
The "economic collapse mindset" or in general, the socialist mindset, loves to separate the individual from the country (and by proxy, the issue at hand) because that permits them to straight up lie and hide behind the probabilistic and easily manipulable study of statistics. What are the people going to do, they won't dare to contrast with their local situation. Or if they do, this mentality permits them to cherry-pick the negative elements as relevant, and positive changes as irrelevant noise.
>>57000674
And what is "bidenomics" is not correcting the free market from its supposed ills? The necessity of government intervention "to save us from a catastrophe" is implicitly saying that capitalism will lead the country to its doom. "Late stage capitalism" is fundamentally the same mindset, but tuned up a notch.
>MAGA boomers
The same thing as with democrats. The narrative is easy to sell and easy to buy. And at the end of the day, placing blame on the private sector will permit the continuation of the expansion of the public sector.

The economy isn't bad, the majority of people are bad.

Fat, hateful, lazy, angry, malicious and careless.

The culture of the west is glorifying slave driving and pimping and the government supports this.

That's why they want to take away the firearms, they are want to further the culture.

The article is really just impotent seething that legacy media propagandists are having less and less effect in controlling "the narrative" (to be whatever is most pro establishment status-quo friendly on behalf of Washington DC). That no one takes government statisticians seriously is their own damn fault, but of course they just want to lash out and shut down all dissent. It does not matter where you think the economy is exactly, if you don't acknowledge the above which is obvious you are a boot-licking NPC and I wouldn't engage with you like you are one of the sentient.

EVERYBODY START BURDENMAXXING IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS NOT A DRILL

Start stealing and become a burden on society. First thing you should do is quit your worthless wagie job. Don't bother applying for benefits, welfare or any other government assistance unless you really can't help yourself. I personally prefer to also GHOSTMAXX, no properties in my name, no hand outs, no benefits, no taxes, just living in the shadows of society and outside of the system as much as I can, but I digress. Simply take everything you need from big corporations, resell it and enjoy life. Hit their jew warehouses and megastores and become an honest reseller. Make sure to post about it and encourage more people to become burdens like you. Once enough people do this, their system collapses. Also always remember how over half the population got vaxxed and sided with the government? make them pay and enjoy it too. This is how you get back at the jews, the governments, the corporations, the normie cattle and everybody else who wronged you.

That's not what the graph shows at all. People see how expensive everything has become and thar their wage is no where close to making up the increase in prices. To them this mean the economy is bad. Because main Street has been absolutely gutted. When asked how they are doing they respond with fine because obviously they managing the increase in prices fine and stating afloat by cutting back on excess spending. I would respond the same way. I've had to cut back my lifestyle to offset the massive cost of living increase. I'm managing that change well ans an "fine" but I recognize that the fact that this is happening is unfortunate and do to forces outside my control and articulate this as "the economy". So, yes the economy is utterly fucked.

The sentiments being measured were pretty one-dimensional. For instance, I would say I'm currently doing alright financially, but not quite as good as I used to be, mostly because of inflation. Also, because I'm not a total brainless, I realize that my own economic situation isn't the same as "the economy' in general. The American government is over 30 trillion dollars in debt, the deficit is at a record high, interest rates are still high, and prices of goods and services are still way up compared to pre-covid levels.
