The problem with "stacking" precious metals is that it takes advantage of lower-income (and lower-IQ) people's banal consumerist desires and deceives them into believing their collecting is actually investing. This is why you constantly hear "stackers" say things like, "I can't wait to get paid this week so I can buy more!" or things like, "I have to sell some of my stack to pay my bills this month." This type of buying and selling mentality never occurs with investmenting. You'll never hear someone say "I just lost my job, but I really want to buy more Apple stock during this dip!" Nor will you ever hear someone say "Always buy bonds. Never sell them. Simple as."

Stacking is also the worst sythesis of consumerism and right-winger doomer fear too. Like preppers who think the world is just months away of devolving into Fallout-style post-apocalypse, stackers too cling to their collection, because they think it'll somehow protect them (or even make them wealthy and poweful) in a post "collapse." This fear is dangerous in the mind of a lower-income, lower-IQ, and lower-status person, because it serves as a reinforcement to justify the purchases and grow a collection that they often can't afford. The obsessive and compulsive desire to "stack" begins fueling delusional fears of collapse, and even worse, it usually devolves into them desiring for such a calamity so that they can be proven right and fulfill their sick power fantasy that's take root in their mind.

To the few stackers who just enjoy coin collecting as a hobby that you can afford, you should be ashamed of yourselves for contributing to the manipulation of such vulnerable young men. You prey on their basic emotions of fear and safety and encourage them to make poor financial decisions, while they fall down dangerous ideological rabbit holes that lead to racist, antisemitic conspiracy theories that futher perpetuate harmful stereotypes and failed, genocidal ideologies.

First thing i learned when i started to collect numismatic coins not long ago was to avoid like plague any chink/nip/asian coins and chink sellers. But it's true it sound very tempting to see a $1500 coin selling for $20 and thinking "maybe i'm the first one to notice this auction?" That's how they hook noobs like us, with the promise of a great treasure we are the only ones to have found yet, even tho we just started coins collecting, becuz of course we are lucky geniuses.
And the feeling of urgency to get our hands onto it because "somebody else can find it any second now" obfuscate our judgement and force us to hasten a decision we didn't have propper time to evaluate. Chinks are incredibly perfidious.
That said, this "lost treasure in a granma drawer" scenario can't work with slabbed coins, so that was extra stupid to believe somebody would go through the hassle of grading a $1500 coin to then sell it for 30 bux...

Unless your willy is pyramid shaped, here's the problem. You'd need to cut the mould. You can do it with real willy because willy flesh changes shape and size. A better way would be to use the original moulding kit, but instead of pouring in the latex mix (or whatever) use wax. You can then melt the wax out of the plaster mould before you pour the silver

This is an awesome coin, looks more like a weak strike than circulation wear was responsible for the softness of the rim in front of the big "L", the grubby crusty spots will clean up easily too. I have a few French billon coins similar to this that circulated here in North America, they all got worn to shit so the original mint luster on yours is really impressive, let's see the other side! If I were you I'd keep this one for the collection, it's a great exemplar and the .208 silver billon alloy (according to Numista) is pretty unique too.

One or two things I've noticed with that. Usually the hostility to outside opinions is generally due to those opinions coming here with the idea we're in metals solely for the dollar gains. Those who've lurked here enough know we're in metals for the financial safety not gains. There are some in amongst us who few and far between. Although to be fair, a good portion I believe have and will exchange their metals for dollars or whatever currency is available to them if the price is right. For the most part though, metals are the safe haven we flock to and the populations as a whole do when they're in fear. We got a glimpse of this back in March when those few banks went under. Another thing regarding the hostility is because they come here bragging about their gains or their high income such as yourself without proof. Which is why proof is asked for so often. It's hard to tell without it in-hand, but what appears to be scratching might be the original rough surface of the planchet. Maybe that part of the strip of metal that they cut out the blanks from was made improperly and was rolled too thin, then simply didn't get a proper full impression when it was struck? Does that "scratched" part correspond with the apparently worn but possibly just weakly struck part of the other side? If so then maybe it's just a manufacturing flaw and is actually undamaged and high-grade. Regardless, I really like it and think that one is a keeper. $100 seems low for the Testone, I'd try to get closer to $200 and then you'd have everything fully paid off!

It fell surprisingly smooth when i ran my fingers over the scratches, like if the scratches weren't there at all. The "lines" also seems to all be parallels, and instead of being carved from the coins like i initially thought, they look like extra glut of metal, but so thin you can't feel them under your fingers.
I couldn't determine if the coin was thinner at this location, i'd need a precision caliper for that.

Sweet! That's definitely an old Ptolemaic bronze, probably a Tetrobol (4/6th of a drachm). It's really hard to properly attribute them (I haven't figured out how to differentiate them yet anyway), so it could be as old as Ptolemy II or from well over a century later. In that condition I think $100 would be a fair retail price you could sell it for reasonably quickly so it depends what you'd want to spend on it, I personally would be quite happy to get it for ~$45 or less

I'm thinking the planchet was flawed and either due to getting mechanically pinched too thin or overlapping another strip when being ran through a roller press, or (de)lamination loss caused the lines, so a weak strike where the die didn't get filled wouldn't obliterate the lines on the lettering.

That style of riveted blade is pretty widely distributed, the technical advancement of peoples in different parts of the world at any given time varied widely but IIRC that style in the Netherlands would probably place it around 1,200-1,600 BC. I'm not 100% confident so should research and study more to try narrowing that range.
