If you are thinking to play the rate cut game, RKT has some pretty cheap LEAPs for both Jan 2025/26. I'm considering buying the 12C or 15C on both of them.

Ok this is the nitty gritty on SAVE. The company if the merger doesn't go through is worth roughly 15-16 a share according to analist. If the merger does happen you get for every SAVE share you have 29.80 from Jetblue. Not 33. That 33 is the top end which includes 2.5 already forked out to holders when the deal was done back in 2022 and the small 0.10 divvy payment that happens monthly. If you jump on SAVE today you get at most 29.80. Pay no attention to hit pieces or articles doing the odds. It's purely 50/50. 50% the deal happens. 50% it doesn't. Another play is JBLU. It's still pretty cheap from the highs. If this deal happens they expand 50% overnight. Right now they're 5 something a share. The high was 9.x. After the deal they're 50% larger company. You don't think analist will jack those price targets upward?. They'll jack them.

I don't think it would take much disruption for things to start rolling down hill fast. If taxes go up the immigrants will start fleeing and inflation will get real. The White Americans are probably going to be absolutely pissed at eachother and everyone else in November no matter what happens. If we do stop spending the blacks will probably get violent again. If you want that my recommendation would just be to save. If this is a major pay increase, you should be able to save some money quickly (be aware of lifesytle creep). If you want higher returns, you can look into banks offering over 4% APY while you save, or do something like save in SPAXX for around 5% returns to make some money while you save. With less than 3k it won't be a lot but it will be more than either nothing or .00000001% offered by some banks.

I feel the opposite. The most notable regulars tend to give up and reduce posting eventually, focusing more on their career as they slowly realize that investing is a waste of their time. Rocker for example, or Scoopsies.
I'm not sure what ever happened to BigFiveGuy/LCIGuy, but I'm fairly certain he didn't make it. RKG is dead. While SOXL_shill made it, many of the leverage maxing followers he spawned did not. Baggie continues his endless shitposting, but he's an enigma.

There are plenty of autists here that have found success in some niche, but simply choose not to put on a consistent persona necessary to become noticed as a namefag/avatarfag. You may not find one in every thread, but if you pay close attention you'll start to see beyond the veil of anonymity.
I honestly believe that the type of personality required to actively namefag is inherently incompatible with the sort of financial detachment and autistic focus required to consistently seek out profitable trades in the market.
Some anons get lucky of course, but that's not the norm and often times non-repeatable.

Everyone was taking out a loan though? But rather than invest it into the markets, people put it into property which paid off handsomely and gave them an even higher QoL. You have no idea how indebted certain european countries are. Scandis are up to their necks in debt but since it is mostly cheap debt, nobody cares. Plus people will always find a way to pay loans back.
The ZIRP time of the 2010s has allowed for pretty much everyone to participate in the joys of the world since everyone took out cheap debts. Working 40 a week is gay and retarded. I have 750k, basically all from family, and started paying attention to my finances a couple of years ago. I live in Germany and pay straight 25% taxes on capital, including reinvested dividends. My only financial goal is to pay the bills, which are at maximum 15k a year, until shit hits the fan and money doesn't mean anything anymore.

I think I can meet that goal. I mean 7% returns if I bought the market, 25% taxes, setting aside enough to cover 3% inflation - that all leads to something like 17k a year in returns.

My career has basically been data science, and collecting and analyzing data is something I still like doing. I thought of combining magic formula investing with momentum investing, and making a list of say twenty/thirty stocks to choose ten from.

Is that just autism, and would it be better to just toss it in an ETF and call it a day? I feel like increasing my returns is important since it seems like I only have just enough money to cover my costs.
