I wouldn’t mind living in a RV somewhere in the wilderness. I’m not sure a can in the city would be comfortable enough though. Anyone give this a shot and save money?

That will be $50K for the van, plastic Walmart bags to poop in not included.

>that feeling when priced out of the home with plastic Walmart bags as a toilet
Looks like I’m shitting in paper McDonald’s bags until I can afford upgrades

it works best in western America because there's plenty of public land where you can just park and stay for weeks or sometimes even months at a time for free and nobody cares. all that guy's videos are showing people on public land.
there's some expenses to consider - Solar and batteries for power, electric cooler, water storage, etc, but it is relatively cheap compared to renting or mortgage if you own your vehicle outright. the main issue is that you won't be extremely close to cities, so if you want to work in a town, you may need to commute 30 minutes or so. it's best paired with remote work, but you can have less than $500/mo expenses by living that way and I'm surprised more people don't unhinge themselves from the chains of debt by doing it.

Worth it, you can travel for free since you're not tied down to a location and you're combining the expenses of rent and vehicle ownership

pussies who have only lived with mommy and daddy will try to fud this lifestyle

but I've spent over 120k on rent on this point and i'm ready to just buy a van

i piss in bottles and shit in the woods when i'm driving cross country - guess what, wet wipes make it a non issue. I will live in a van, and I will make it. you can't fud me, a gym membership gives me unlimited showers. starlink gives you decent internet if you need to decompress with some online gaming. 5g makes everything else a breeze. it's a no brainer at this point, renting hood ass apartments has gotten too expensive

RV allows you to choose where to live, desu, literally returning to the Ancient Nomadic life kino. But most important of all, it allows you to jump to work at another place. If the house could last forever and not break down after 20 years, I would have considered it.

I car camp for vacation and love it, but could never imagine doing it full time. You should absolutely do this for a few weeks first before fantasizing about it. The lack of amenities (shower, food storage, cookware, cell service) gets old FAST for me at least.

Not having to deal with people. If I were to get an apartment in town all my neighbors would be hipster trannies. It's also fun being able to quit jobs and find new ones whenever I want without having to freak out about bills. I can basically set the tone anywhere I work and if they don't like it, I leave. Have told many managers to fuck off
