The catch is the house is 100 years old and needs to be torn down and it's in a shitty neighborhood.

>> No.56918969

That house is absurdly cheap though even someone making 10k a year could comfortably afford it and welfare benefits are more than that

I am too good to even look at pictures of that house. You owe me compensation for such an assault on my divine eyes.

>> No.56920428

>>56918882
It clearly needs a new roof. I'm sure there are tons of other problems. These properties are aimed at "investors" who want to by it and dump another 45k into rehab then try to sell it at market value. Anons always post these cheap houses that aren't being sold to live in and act like you could live there.

Looks good. No state income taxes in tennessee either. Should I actually buy one of these?
Does it even matter who my neighbors are if I never venture outside?

>> No.56920472

>>56920452
It's not cheap because of the neighborhood, it's cheap because you will have to spend another 35k in repairs. You can't live there. It won't pass and the electric company etc. won't allow you to establish service because it's not habitable.

>> No.56920492

>>56920472
Well I don't mean to buy exactly that shitbox. But I see other decent homes for sale in Memphis at prices that would still be incredibly cheap in most of the country. Am I missing something? What's the catch?

Don't have any. I just want the most efficient place to live out my life in comfort off my investments as a hikikomori.
This is looking like a solid candidate.
