also Constellation Software has a publicly-traded floating rate debenture under the ticker CSU.DB that pays out 6.5% plus the prior 12m CPI, so it's basically an inflation-protected security that pays out a 6.5% real return. Due in 2040 but in theory can be called by the company with 5 years' notice.

assuming 2% CPI going forward (likely too low), you get 8.5% annual yield through 2040 assuming no call. Trades at about 30% premium to par, but you're still getting a low-mid 6% IRR and mid-high 6% yield on that, with a level of inflation protection on top

the reason it trades reasonably cheap is the call feature which, if exercised, nukes your return from 6% to 3%. CEO is too ethical a guy to rug his bondholders like that though, so they'll never call it.

Backed by the Higgs brothers, Nevada Exploration (NGE.v / NVDEF / 28N0) holds a sprawling package of prospective greenfield gold properties in one of the most prolific gold producing areas on the planet -- Nevada. Following years of chasing anomalies in groundwater, Nevada Exploration has disposed of it's old leadership, cleaned up its share structure and is poised to enter the new gold bull run with a clean slate. Noted mining pundit Eric Coffin said Dennis Higgs "is a very good promoter and, yeah, knows where the bodies are buried when it comes to getting a market to move." When the market is ready, and, make no mistake, they will know, the Higgs brothers will pump Nevada Exploration to the moon.

Discovery Harbour Resources (DHR.v / DCHRF / 4GW0) is an explorer backed by mine builder Richard Gilliam, who founded Cumberland Resources which was ultimately bought out by Massey Energy for $960,000,000, and run by expert geologist Mark Fields. The company is currently in negotiations to acquire its new project. Indications are promising that Discovery Harbour is close to pulling off a major coup in the sector, as its share price has risen 80% in recent weeks. Gilliam owns a third of the company's shares and is poised to benefit from the tight share structure once it steps back in to the arena.

A company of the prolific Metals Group, Cortus Metals (CRTS.v / CRTTF) is a prospect generator with a juicy suite of strategically located gold prospects throughout northern Nevada. Cortus began publicly trading toward the end of the last gold bull run, but has suffered on account of arriving too late. The company has been preserving it's capital and laying low, ready to pounce once the inevitable flurry of chasers come looking for a project to lease from Cortus. Their projects include everything from drill-ready to Greenfield's, one of which has recently been joint ventured by a private mining firm. Priced right, Cortus is sure to be a multibaggers in the forthcoming bull market.

It has no property in it. It has no active promotion. Nothing's going on. If you look at the price chart over the last two years, it has the trajectory of a brick thrown off a bridge. Then all of a sudden you put a property in the company, convert the debt to equity (by the way, by Canadian law it becomes free trading equity, not restricted equity), and it's off to the races. Threadly reminder that Market =/= Economy. The Fed's job is to force nominal growth at almost any cost as nominal growth allows risk free capital return, this is the mechanism behind oligarchical parasitism. Earnings ratios have ballooned over the decades from monetary expansion, not declining rates, declining rates were merely the vehicle for monetary expansion. Real rates are always negative to zero under debt based fiat, 2022 was the bottom, all the money printed during the scamdemic is still here, earning 5% interest (printed into existence through deficit spending), waiting to flow back larger than ever
>Graph note: The Fed stopped reporting Institutional Money Market Funds as a separate series in 2020, hence ((Total MMF/1000)-Retail MMF's) as Total MMF's is given in millions of millions instead of thousands of billions and Retail is already included in m2

Pretty much the only thing slowing it down at this point is competition from crypto.

because they are partial ownership of a company that is worth something.
when it operates, it makes money. the earnings it retains it will then invest in itself instead of return to you, to engage in furthering its goals, so that later each dollar of revenue it earns will result in even more of those earnings than before.
when it can no longer grow, then it might start returning some of those earnings to you.
many stocks that don't pay a dividend are not worth anything, but this describes the ones that are worth something, that have value.
you can still make money with the ones that are not worth anything (usually because they lose money every single day) but the problem there is you have to find a greater fool to sell them to later. they are also often very good at making themselves look like they are actually worth something when they are not, so there are varying degrees of fools you'll need to find, and be yourself, to trade these to a successful result.

Simplify's great but why the fuck did they make that?

>The Simplify US Equity PLUS GBTC ETF (SPBC) investment objective seeks to provide capital appreciation by providing an efficient way for asset allocators to add Bitcoin exposure to portfolios. The fund targets a 100% investment in the US equities while simultaneously providing a 10% exposure to Bitcoin via the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).

>The fund provides operational simplicity for investors by actively managing rebalancing of the Bitcoin allocation as well as premium/discount dynamics of GBTC. The ETF wrapper provides compelling efficiencies including transparency, liquidity, tax efficiency*, and no K-1’s.

OK I guess it's good if you're running a hedge fund and want a literally zero effort way to beat your benchmark. But GBTC's main limitation is just illiquidity; that's not a problem for anyone here.

in all likelihood it's a foregone conclusion that a next wave of huge price inflation is going to hit eventually. inflation might be in a "disinflation" stage but very unlikely that it will turn negative.
so inflation moves in waves, but never below zero.

also i can not fathom how experts and the Fed can say that "inflation has been running too low for too long" with a straight face while indices and housing has quadrupled over the past two decades as well as everything else been getting more expensive and/or more smaller.

>please avoid shitcos
If you want max gains in a gold bull run, shitcos have historically provided the greatest increase. It's easier for a shitco to go from 1M to 10M mc than for a goodco to go from 500M to 5B mc.

Oh yeah, I'm sure all these companies are gonna die. They're gonna stop making profits and lose everything in a quarter. No, you're wrong.

The only one who can do this is JPowell. The only thing that can do this is CPI on December 12th.
