They're all so absolutely fucked that you can pretty much buy any of them and make at least 2-3x even in a somewhat short term if things start moving with any momentum.
It can't be stated how insanely ignored the miner space is at the moment. No one gives a shit about them.
For example here's some meme lines for the pokemon brand miner. Most of the charts out there are identical.
Just buy something that's not entirely speculative in nature and you're good for the next year.

The problem with going too small and speculative, is that those exploration play shitcos have to move on actually hitting something, hype or hopium entirely, rather than something a bit more tangible, like already having a resource and trying to expand it by drilling on the property that already has plenty of hits.
It's not a bad idea to play the 200-500 mil market cap or even bigger ones rather than the smallest guys.
As we saw with Uranium, the biggest player Cameco had the best performance in the last 2 years. You might not get the added leverage by adding risk going with the 5-50 mil MC explorers.
If you want to play it really safe just buy Agnico Eagle or some other multi billion player.

Good for short term (2-3 month) holds during the big moves. Be aware that gold will probably get stuck again at $2090 and head back down, chopping sideways. Gary says it might take a few weeks before it can start putting in new highs. He's not recommending using leveraged ETFs yet for that reason, but if you can handle the volatility, you should be good if you hold through it.

Financials look reasonable, good margins at current prices. Price performance looks okay for the sector and dividends are pretty consistent. They're taking on debt but it's still 0% of total equity and is funding new projects so that's all good
Main concern would be the lifetime of their assets which I haven't looked at.

Backed by the Higgs brothers, Nevada Exploration (NGE.v / NVDEF / 28N0) holds a sprawling package of prospective greenfield gold properties in one of the most prolific gold producing areas on the planet -- Nevada. Following years of chasing anomalies in groundwater, Nevada Exploration has disposed of it's old leadership, cleaned up its share structure and is poised to enter the new gold bull run with a clean slate. Noted mining pundit Eric Coffin said Dennis Higgs "is a very good promoter and, yeah, knows where the bodies are buried when it comes to getting a market to move." When the market is ready, and, make no mistake, they will know, the Higgs brothers will pump Nevada Exploration to the moon.

A company of the prolific Metals Group, Cortus Metals (CRTS.v / CRTTF) is a prospect generator with a juicy suite of strategically located gold prospects throughout northern Nevada. Cortus began publicly trading toward the end of the last gold bull run, but has suffered on account of arriving too late. The company has been preserving it's capital and laying low, ready to pounce once the inevitable flurry of chasers come looking for a project to lease from Cortus. Their projects include everything from drill-ready to Greenfield's, one of which has recently been joint ventured by a private mining firm. Priced right, Cortus is sure to be a multibaggers in the forthcoming bull market.

Discovery Harbour Resources (DHR.v / DCHRF / 4GW0) is an explorer backed by mine builder Richard Gilliam, who founded Cumberland Resources which was ultimately bought out by Massey Energy for $960,000,000. The company is currently in negotiations to acquire its new project. Indications are promising that Discovery Harbour is close to pulling off a major coup in the sector, as its share price has risen 80% in recent weeks. Gilliam owns a third of the company's shares and is poised to benefit from the tight share structure once it steps back in to the arena.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Bayhorse Silver. The technical reports are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of geology most of the assays will go over a typical investor's head. There's also Graeme's optimistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal business draws heavily from historical records, for instance. The holders understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this mine, to realize that they're not just bonanza grade- they say something deep about the economic system. As a consequence people who dislike Bayhorse Silver truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Graeme's existencial catchphrase "2 more weeks," which itself is a cryptic reference to when Graeme's mansion will be built. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Bayhorse's three PhD geologist genius unfolds itself on /biz/. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Bayhorse Silver tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

The time frames fell apart due to management screwing up pretty much every single thing with the project.
Drilling was delayed, feasibility study was delayed and done with a company that didn't understand how salt mines work and the numbers got fucked, marketing was lackluster and you could argue even TPR has been handled really badly by not taking it public.
Thank fuck they now have a new management with capable people, but most likely the stock will only move when they start figuring out funding for the mine construction. Basically dead money or slow bleed until it starts moving on news.
I'm out of it for the moment, but I'll jump back in after riding the rest of the market on uptrends.

>Copper futures reached a ten-week high on Wednesday following the announcement by Panama's government to shut down a controversial $10 billion copper mine owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. The decision came after the Supreme Court of the Central American country declared the 20-year concession given to the Canadian mining operator was unconstitutional.

>"We have decided to unanimously declare unconstitutional the entire law 406 [granted mining concessions to First Quantum Minerals] of October 20, 2023," Supreme Court President Maria Eugenia Lopez said on Tuesday.

>Later that evening, President Laurentino Cortizo posted on social media platform X that the "transition process for the orderly and safe closure of the mine" had already begun. Production at Cobre mine has already been disrupted due to environmentalist protesters and labor unions.

I agree that China makes the most sense as the backer of these supposedly grassroots environmental protests. I've tried to say as much and am often met with "It's da jooz!"

Geopolitics is a rough game and China is certainly not pure as snow like some on the political right would like to believe, since they want to believe in a counterweight to ZOG/The West.
In the end, I think if China plays the game of geopolitics better than the West does, then the West deserves to end up playing second fiddle and North America and Australia can end up as Chinese resource colonies.

Also very interesting to note the dispute in Guyana with the pending Venezuelan invasion. Tons of gold in the land and some of the best oil deposits, Exxon is there. Wonder if WTI will spike if a an initial conflict arose, then spread to nearby oil production. Pretty sure the Americans sent in a bunch of multinationals like Exxon to help get more of those barrels off the black market and into regular commerce. Venezuela was basically Iran until recently. Yes, that's how the geopolitical chess game is played. Realpolitik wins at the end of the day. I have no doubt the US is funding anti-China expansion efforts in Africa through various channels. And Russia probably gets involved too.
None of this should shock anyone, especially here in a mining forum. In fact, it's great to get this information out there so that investors know that there are shady political forces trying to disrupt or take over someone else's mining project. Forewarned is forearmed.

That's the best part about the junior field going forward.
It's so unloved and ignored, that when it starts getting any amount of real attention, the miners are going to be pulling insane sustained numbers.
I'm actually a bit baffled at how slow the big money is to move into this field, but it's coming.
It does show how long the road ahead is too.
The retail will still be buying the dip in tech a year from now when juniors have mooned to their ATHs and then they'll start FOMOing to push things far higher.

And you weren't exactly wrong to hear it.
If you were hearing it from 2018 to 2021 it was the right sentiment and held true to a point you'd still be up 5-10x if you were riding that first wave in practically anything that wasn't entirely speculative.
Problem is that a lot of us got in around the highs and have gotten completely assraped during the pullback in various sectors, to a point everyone is completely demoralized as the portfolios scream -50% or even -85%.
In the last 2 years companies did nothing but cooled off and then we got the AI mania lifting rest of the markets, sucking up all of the money.
But now we're headed towards an ATH in gold and silver is finally breaking out of the years long wedge, so it's going to be the right sentiment once more.

I went over it and there are few telling things about the expected timeline.

>Rick noted that many mining EAs can take 2-5 years
>It’s a clean mine. When asked if Management expected a protracted timeline like being experienced by GH2, the consensus answer was ‘no”.
>They hoping to have clarity by the middle of 2024

I remember hearing people say that the EAs would be done in Q1 2024, but that was obviously bullshit.
Regardless of how much more straightforward this mine is, we're still looking at least 1 year for the EA etc.. process, perhaps more.
They're not even going to know the state of the EA timeline until mid 2024.

Financing side of things actually sounds the best of this bunch.
Just sell some future production, get few institutional guys to buy in and then they'll get the lenders on board.
Probably still heavily dependent on the rates situation though and who knows how that plays out.

Then there's the equipment.
>He noted that during COVID, or the last few years in general, the wait times seemed to be north of 2 years due to customer demand
>However, they are seeing a softening in demand and the manufacturers seem to be indicating average wait times of about 16 months

That demand is going to explode if commodities take off and everyone starts ordering equipment.
First they need financing to order them and after that it's still +1 year wait on top of it.

This project is going to take at least until late 2024 or even 2025 when it starts properly moving with real developments.
I really like the potential and I will invest into it again one day, but this is dead money that will bleed increasingly as people ditch it for sectors that are actually moving.
I expect that nothing major will happen before EA is done and even that may be a nothingburger, the real catalyst for price movement being acquiring funding.
Of course it's always possible that this moves with the algos following CRB index pumping so there's that.

Gold Royalties seemed like an interesting buy. Admittedly I heard it on Kiyosaki’s show yesterday and read up a little on it and as far as risk/return it didn’t seem terrible upon first glance. They’re a company that acts as a financial source for miners that need the money. That can be good, but also can be bad should they loan the money and the assays and everything come up tits up. For $1.50 per share it didn’t seem outlandish. Barrick I’m unironically up 3% on my position, and got it just as something safe to have as opposed to some of the other memes that get thrown around. Scottie and BHLL are basically memes, but BHLL actually has shown potential.

A quick lowdown on what Jeff Snider had to say about China’s current economic climate. TLDR: Not good!

Xi’s 31-point plan to rescue his economy has failed miserably and will drag the rest of the worldwide economy down with it. Their stimulus hasn’t been working for any prolonged about of time. The CCP announced recently that they would remove a 3% deficit limit for the year, and allow up to 3.8%. To have the CCP even touch their deficit spending amounts tells you a lot about their internal economic issues, as deficit spending is just about as last resort as it gets in Chinese fiscal policy.

Look at Shanghai steel (rebar) futures. They rebounded on the heels of the much-celebrated Chinese ending of pandemic measures last year. The general consensus was that Chinas economy was struggling post-2020 because of lockdown measures, and opening thing up would lead to prosperity once again. Shanghai steel futures topped out in May and had been faltering into September, when Beijing announced the increase in deficit spending. Steel went from 3600 yuan a tonne to 4000. Seems like a nice recovery right? Not in the context of recent data. Copper prices have also stalled, signalling a tepid response from private Chinese firms. Crude oil is very much the same story. Chinese November PMIs were very weak and even Bloomberg noted that they expect further CPP stimulus. Non-manufacturing PMI is at 50.2, the worst numbers since the lockdowns, and even worse than numbers recorded during the 2008-2009 financial crisis(50.8). Foreign orders are at 46.8 (incredibly weak), weak employment (46.9). The Chinese state administration of foreign exchange reported a net outflow of FDI (foreign direct investment) of $11.8bn, the first time an outflow has been recorded in Chinese history.

At least that’s what the general sentiment of the global bond market is telling us. Looks like bull steepening I.e not good is about to take off and wreak havoc. This is a global synchronized recession.

the original idea was that the ore was so rich they didn't need a permit because they'd be moving very little rock. Then to make it even sweeter they were going to upgrade the ore with AN ORE SORTER!

Apparently they were wrong about all that.

because the time to buy was like 2 years ago when it was $1500 and multiple people could read the writing on the wall.
buyers now are just late. while i might get a 2x out of gold in a reasonable timeframe, they have no hope of it.
but because they're morons and can't listen when they're told the future by others who can see it, rest assured they will show up and FOMO-buy the top. people don't change.

why file a mining permit when you have no intent on mining? The company is a scam. They had an exploration permit which limited them to mining about 5,000 tons per years and Graeme played this as he was actually mining silver ore. He claimed the ore left in the mine was very high grade while at the same time claming he needed the ore sorter to upgrade the richets ore so he could make money, and that ore would be shipped to Ocean which never happened, then he built a processing facility in Idaho and never processed anything, all the time issuing press releases they were actaully mining. Then the Oregon mining/geology regulators crached down on the fraud and stopped everything. Any retard can read the lies constantly issued by Graeme to see its obvious lies - its that simple and easy. Just read his press releases, watch their shitty videos, read the fraud posts issued by the scam artists here running their pump and dump and you shold be able to understand why you lost your money. If not, you are too stupid to be investing and will lose ever more money. The only benefit to followng Gayhose is you get to see a low class retarded pump and dump scheme run by a loser who made money off of suckers who were too stupid to see the obvious fraud.

You are free to call/eamil the Oregon mining/geology regulators and ask for copies of the information, they are well aware of the fraud.

Yes, it's very fake and extremely gay.
But since the Malthusian fuckwits at the top are hell bent on making that pipe dream work or at least throwing printed funny money at it, same as with hydrogen, it might be worth to ride.
I wouldn't be surprised if these solar companies outperformed everything else on the market by a wide margin, now that the higher ups have just reaffirmed their increasing support for these industries.

Seems now would be a good time to go for green, but Europe (who has historically been the biggest customer of green energy) is slowing down, so eh. I think you're better off investing in uranium juniors, or even coal, just for the simple fact that China is building like 90 SMRs, and both them & India are building coal plants as well. Any company producing that is slowly upticking production and a cheap stock for a somewhat long term investment for uranium, and coal is down right now, right?
Haven't dug into it at all, but I know coal is down, so now's probably a good time to invest in it.
Steel is also down, but what's going to happen when they start rebuilding in Ukraine?
