But I think it is useful to have a few other coins so you'll get a little more disattached from the results of link and maybe will be able to hedge a little at some point (not a real hedge because crypto is really correlated, but it's good to have some others bags)

Nothing ever happens. Binance earn is great and ive made a ton of passive income from it the last 2 years.
that being said though, OP should be careful with Binance these days. At least move a portion of your stack to Coinbase or something if thats all you have. better safe than sorry

Even anything. Gemini earn went tits up and that exchange honestly has the most veritable safety nets in the industry. When you really read into their security and insurance they're pretty solid. Here's the problem. Nothing in their earn program was in their custody.
I don't personally use chinance so I'll leave it to you to find out how they're actually routing flows for their yield program. But I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's going through a partner.
The same goes for leaving coins on exchanges, but I thought we were collective past that already
