With the pool opening up is it worth staking a few thousand linkies or is it better to sit on the sidelines and wait until this bull run has ran its course? held for 6 years without profit taking and am still poor with 10k stinkies and won't feel right not selling off maybe 2k stinkies and stake 8k or something like that? any other long term holder who is having a hard time making a choice?

This is a stake demon.

Dysgenic freaks who succumb to staking and token-lock addictions become demons.
They always think they are winning no matter what happens.
As long as they're being stimulated according to the pattern that allows them to receive their yearly circle jerk rewards nothing else matters to them.
There is no incentive for them to logically analyze anything, least of all themselves.
They can always just retreat back into their autism and receive the greatest false hopium they know and all else can be forgotten.
Staking on demand accompanied by rewards hopium, the most common forms of hyperstimulus, have deleted the souls of the majority of the link bagholders.
Staking is the jew's greatest weapon and its casualties are piling up and choking out real humanity.
We have to impale them all.

>With the pool opening up is it worth staking a few thousand linkies or is it better to sit on the sidelines and wait until this bull run has ran its course?

I don't like LINK, but here's the thing, right now it will either go up sharply in the near future, very very slowly ramp up, or go down over that same period of time (at any speed), or crab.

If you think it's gonna go down, obviously, you sell. You don't so we'll ignore that one.

If it crabs or goes up very slowly, that's when staking will help. And it won't help that much more than selling now, or holding. Meanwhile, if it spikes upward for some reason, holding it means you can sell it then, and staking it means you might get left out.

You kinda feel there's gonna be a bull run. Do you really want to be four weeks away from taking profit if that happens? You could miss out on a lot. By contrast, the amount you'd miss out on by NOT staking isn't gonna be that much over that time period.

Anyway I think this is a terrible time to stake ANY crypto. Sell or hold.

Dude, the BUILD program is to help startups get their feet off the ground by organizing a deal of the companies offering up a percentage of their token supply in exchange for oracle services they wouldn't be able to pay upfront for.

In other words, it's not about you, the staker. It's about them, the developers who are leveraging Chainlink's infrastructure to build tech that demonstrate the value of smart contracts (which in turn bring value to Chainlink's network).

You can't rush development and which means you can't rush BUILD rewards. Trying to rush these things might end up with a halfassed product and token rewards that are valueless.

>If you told someone in 2017 about the state of the chainlink project in 2023 they wouldn't buy a single token
lol if you showed people in 2017 about Chainlink absolutely dominating the oracle space and Defi alone, they'd all sell their houses to go all in.
And if you just showed them one real-world prospect like DTCC or something, they'd sell their immediate relatives and a kidney too.

>Would you be able to open a new mm and link your hardware wallet without jeopardizing your Link or staking rewards?

Correct. The private key from the hardware wallet is completely separate from the private keys generated from the Metamask account. What I did last year was link my account, stake my link, and then I uninstalled my metamask extension (and reinstalled for my daily wallet). That way my new metamask has no knowledge or previous information of my hardware wallet. And even then, the privatekey stays on the hardware wallet and is never shown to the computer. It only delivers a signature.

People will think it's fud but i honestly don't give much of a shit about v0.2, if anything it pisses me off that i'll have to spend money to migrate.

The actual returns were always cunt tier shit but I put up with it in v0.1 on the vague hope that the build rewards might make it worthwhile. Those still haven't appeared and at this point i imagine 90% of the list is probably already vaporware. But now I guarantee if you don't migrate you'll never see them, so it's a sunken cost fallacy. I'll pay my $200 eth + tip + ADL donation and move to v0.2 to continue getting that sweet sub-inflation interest.
