You can stake and unstake as you please. But here's the thing, we're all sharing a pool that has a max capacity of 45M link tokens.

If you stake 15K and the pool maxes out. The moment you unstake 5K, that's 5K link available to stake by other people. You'll have one autist that irresponsible and missed his opening to dump all his link and will end up refreshing to add a little bit of link each time whenever someone decides to unstake and fill their spot. You'll have more technical folks who will have a bot that automates that same process of scoping for a new opening and sequentially adding more link their staked amount.

Finally, you have Linkpool desperate to increase the amount of link they can stake despite being a node operator as the rewards accumulated through them are fucking pitiful. For every 1 Link a community staker gets in rewards, stake.link stakers like 0.01 or some shit. Yeah, it's bad. So Linkpool will be throwing Link in the pool during general access as well.

Also, Chainlink is going to be much more popular come next year as CCIP and RWA apps take off, meaning more people will try to stake.

That's why I say, if you unstake, you can't stake it again.
