Monthly? I would need a post tax income of 10k to feel comfortable every month. I would want a 2 million dollar home with some land. I would also want to have minimum 1 million in a retirement account compounding and 2 million in a trading account to day trade or just earn 5% interest monthly. For me it's

50k for cheap housing somewhere (boat/rv or some cheap country)
250k to put into safe investments
100k to actively invest with

So 400k. The safe investments will yield me 1500 dollar a month to live of. Provided housing costs are low due to the 50k investment. And then 100k to actively invest with, because I like investing.
