here's what I did as a loser with a degree in lmaofilmstudies and no job prospects. accidentally more so than intentionally but it seems to be working out.

>apply for job at major pest control company who pay poorly and as such have a revolving door hiring system for low-level grunts
>get the job because they're desperate for anyone with half a brain who can drive a vehicle and speak to people without being a total sperge
>keep your head down for a couple of years while going through all available training courses (pretend you're committed to a life-long career at the company)
>get chummy with colleagues but more importantly your contracted customers
>once you have all certifications requires to practice pest control and have served the minimum time (a year for me) before you can leave without paying training costs, hand in your notice
>the whole time you were at the company you have been chumming up with your customers and planting seeds that you're going starting your own pest control company soon. let them know you'll be cheaper, you'll be able to give them more of your attention, and they will never have to deal with call centres, salesmen etc. your customers are primed to leave the big company and hire you when you start your company
>you've also been stashing away materials and equipment for the entire duration of your employment (since their stock-check processes are pathetic), so you have a whole shed full of expensive stock ready to use.
