You have to invest in whatever develops your income stream to the point that you can acquire some real assets. Once you have some net worth via asset value, you just borrow to expand that and it becomes an ever expanding circle of acquiring assets and liabilities. Problem is, you need some cold hard cash to get to that point. Nobody is going to give you a home or business loan with no money or income and nobody is going to give you a loan to gamble on the stock market. $10k is not enough for even a down payment or any substantial amount of home loan payment, so you basically can just invest it in a degree or training that upgrades your income or in building a low cost business. You could buy stocks, crypto, and metals but that’s not really worth it either. You could open a line of credit, but it won’t be enough to do anything with it other than increase your credit score.

So invest in a high-earning degree or a low-cost business until you get enough to start acquiring big assets and big liabilities.
