Is it wise to swap USTC staking rewards to LUNC now?

I came up with an idea to transform USTC back into a stablecoin.
There's already a stablecoin protocol called Djed https://djed.one/ that keeps the peg by over-backing the stable asset with a cryptocurrency.
It already has a few implementations (SigmaUSD, ZephyrUSD, Djed on ADA) and none of them have ever depegged.
Now, if we would implement this on LUNC starting with USTC and then all its other stablecoins, we would have a solid foundation.
The cool thing about it is, there's no LUNC minting. USTC could also not be minted yet, but only after it is fully backed (typically 400% collateral), and by then it would be back at 1$ anyway because of people anticipating that they could mint soon. It would be possible to redeem USTC but only at the level it's already backed, which would be almost 0 at the beginning, but that would be a good way to burn USTC and incentivize backing it (because of fees).
My idea is, and that component would be crucial, that we also use on-chain gas fees (like we do with the CP and Oracle Pool) to gradually repeg USTC.
Ofc people could also back it on their own accord.
Djed has two version, one of them is called Minimal Djed and is relatively easy to understand and implement.
Now, one problem I think is that when the LUNC is being used to back USTC, it can't be staked. The question would be how we can combine the ability to stake with backing the stablecoins. In Djed, when you back the stablecoin, you get a Reserve Coin, that is basically the (leveraged) receipt for your LUNC backing the stablecoin. This receipt earns interest from the transaction fees from people using the stablecoin (protocol). I wonder if we should allow the Reserve Coin to be staked?
Theoretically Djed can also be implemented through smart contracts alone, without any L1 changes, but it couldn't use USTC then because the smart contract doesn't own it, and gas fees also couldn't be used for accumulating the collateral.
