Those tesla cars not only are fucking ugly as hell, they can't even go up a slope this low. Honest question, isn't shorting TESLA the best play?

>not a single other person who shows up to this thread next will do that either
>not a single redditor or stocktalk fag who daily kvetches about how great tesla is has ever been able to do this, or ever will, or even understand the accusation

TSLA is the ultimate meme stock which is propped up by gamma squeezes and 110 IQ midwits who have just the right amount of charisma to convince the 100 IQ midwits to buy. No one wants an EV, they don't sell. They have no resale value. They cost too much to repair. Chargining is still total ass. Self-driving is a meme. And Elon is a gay silicon valley fuckwit that spends all his time trying to fit in with the cool crowd..

They make money reselling carbon credits to other auto makers, not so much off of profit from selling cats. Government subsidized, corporate welfare in the name of the environment keeps them profitable.

none of those people built those companies from nothing in less than 20 years. they manage already proven businesses and serve basically inelastic demand. they are also behind 10 years training AI on customer data and haven't built charging stations. if they did what musk has done, everyone would know their name

Tesla only makes a small portion of its total revenue from selling regulatory credits - last quarter they took in a total of $23.3 billion in revenue, only $554 million of which was from selling those credits, or about 2.4%. Their net income was $1.87 billion, so even if those credits went away they would still be solidly profitable.

Tesla had three employees when Elon bought his way in, and he brought enough money to have the other 3 guys agree to list him as one of the founders. He ended up taking over after some conflicts with those first three guys, who wanted to keep Tesla small, doing conversion builds like the initial Tesla Roadster (which was a converted Lotus), while Ol'Musky wanted to move to mass production of their own cars. In hindsight Musk pushing them to mass production was obviously the correct choice.

The autonomous driving is basically DOA for Tesla since they obstinately refuse to use LIDAR. It's arguably kind of a meme anyway.

??? Auto credits make about 2.4% of their revenue, just like I said. It would be 29.6% of their net income, which of course is a nice hunk, but Tesla would still be profitable without it.

Tesla is unironically going to be bankrupt in 5 years. Their car's are awful and their early mover advantage is quickly deteriorating. All of the brainlets who actually wanted electric cars have already purchased them and now average people arn't buying them. Telsa has already started to dramatically reduce the prices, but they are already in a death spiral.

Buying a cybertruck is a guaranteed darwin award. When they short how are you going to exit the vehicle. Right now when a TESLA shorts you have to brake the glass to exit the vehicle, but a cybertruck got armored glass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1sRBeparVY
