Yeah, turns out not everyone can live in the big cities, if everyone wants to (high demand) of course prices are going to be ridiculously high.

Housing prices outside the big cities are completely reasonable.

yea i have big city job that pays the big city money.
sure everything is more expensive but I just eat out less and canceled a few subscriptions I really didn’t need. the worst thing is my idiot city friends who have shitty jobs, they cant hang out.

It's not just the big cities though, small towns are even worse because it's just as expensive and there are no Joba. Wages in small towns are stuck at like 2015 levels, meanwhile the CoL is high as fuck.

>move to small town
>the costs are still fucking insane but there's no jobs (beyond basic wagie slave shit), nothing going on (besides bars which cost $15 a drink), and no women (besides fat mediocre whores)
We need a revolution.

It's the mortgage payments that are too high. You can't jack up rates and expect property values to remain the same, that makes no sense.

Going to need a reason for people to give up their cheap mortgages.

Cash buyers are buying at these prices.

Housing isn't expensive, you've just allowed your income to creater because you're a bootlicking statist slavemind. Threadly reminder: median household income in 1970 was 235oz of gold.

Depends on the property. Desirable locations are selling. Renovated properties are selling.

Buyers don't have to bid over asking within the first few hours, waive all contingencies, and hope that their offer is accepted like they did from 2010-2022.

Not anymore unless you want to live in a high crime shithole in the middle of Mississippi for example.

Why? Try finding a reasonable priced house in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in Iowa or Nebraska, and you'll see homes (even then) starting in the mid 300's if not higher.

Just face it, Gen Z & lower are fucking screwed unless they got lucky through gambling or social media sponsorships.
