>bears are such longwinded fucking faggots
Chill, I was a bear and bull this year, and have done alright at different times.
I get why bears are bearish. The macro picture is ugly AF. But I get why bulls are bullish, Wall Street kikes aren't giving up anytime soon, and we're going to keep pumping for a few months at least.
Long term, the picture is very negative.

Either go cashgang or just stay long until you see an obvious breakdown. The way the market keeps rallying even after a pullback tells me the direction is bullish for now but I can't ignore the macro.
Especially after the yield curve bear steepening.

The real problem is everyone wants their way immediately. Things like bear steepenings don't cause instant crashes. But there is a chance of a real fuckhueg crash over the coming months.

>How? By only owning a small amount?
No by having some system with positive expected value that has a reasonable ability to clue you into when it's a bull market and when it's a bear market and positions you accordingly without emotion or any necessary further intervention on your part. There are a few ways this is typically done. Some people use moving averages (the infamous 200 day leverage rotation strategy being one), some people use breakouts, e.g. if the index price is above the 60 day high you buy, if drops below 4x average true range you stop out, some people use volatility targeting. If the VIX6M/VIX ratio closes at or above 1.2 you go long at open the next day. If it closes below you stop out.
They all work more or less so just pick something and run with it. Or if you are a wizard discretionary trader who can consistently pick tops and bottoms then run with that but be careful cuz you might just be lucky.
The upshot is manage risk however you see fit just do it. DO NOT HOLD 3x LEVERAGED ETFs TRUSTING YOUR FATE TO DIREXION. They can and will fuck up. They asset managers are human beings and make mistakes. Trade accordingly

Bond traders thinking they're cute and once again foolishly (and delusionallyly) front-running
>le FED pivot
of
>interest rate cuts in two more weeks
>stoppage of QT efforts by the FED
>return of money printer go brrrrrr QE any day now.
Basically the same as from October '22 to August '23 where trillions of $ were wasted, discounting debtors, allowing them to continue to gorge on under-valued long term interest rates.
Let's see how long it'll take the market participants this time to realize that le pivot once again only lives rent free in their head.
The FED is not going to cut and/or start stimulating into a red-hot economy that is literally firing on all of the cylinders.

Sure but I would need it to at least get into something that doesn't look like a tailspin headed straight to zero first. Don't buy a falling knife, wait for an uptrend and get in then. Could be something as simple as a daily close above the 200 day moving average or elaborate like golden cross, macd, macro story, whatever. Wait for it to start going up and get in then. They'd shrug off a nuke at this point. My bear case thesis is still the same: 2020 desensitized people to bad things so much, that bad things don't matter anymore. We now live in "bad times" and we're used to it. I'm not buying it though, at 10% off ATHs. Give me 40% off and I'll buy in. Besides, T-Bills are still comfy. Just locked in 100K at 5.3% today, expires a month from now. Better than locking money in a chastity cage (bank), meanwhile I contribute to their downfall.

What really fucks me up is it's so easy to dodge it. Just use options. If you want to buy a stock, buy a call instead. When you're ready to sell, just sell the call that is the closest strike to the one you bought earlier. It's two different calls so there is no PDT strike but you effectively close your trade. Just make sure to scale the size of the option to the delta of the number of shares you would have bought so you don't trade too big

$25k back in 2001 represented more than a year of expenses for the median worker. Nowadays its about half that in real terms. The point is to attempt to prevent people from gambling with their emergency savings. It fails in this regard and arguably makes things worse as novice traders get trapped, but they'd rather have a broken policy than none at all. SEC/FINRA are more about optics than actually helping people.

Essentially, yes. I wasn't disagreeing with you that it serves as a poor filter.
But at the same time, I really don't care. If your portfolio is less than $25k you're wasting your time. You'd be better off pushing for a better job to save more money. Think about all the hours you put into trading, versus how much you get out of it.
If your portfolio holds less than $25k than most likely your YTD earnings are also less than $25k. Minimum wage in my state is $31k/yr for full time workers.

META stock will go up when the retrieval ecosystem for their LLMs (Llama, etc.) improves. We're in the very early stages but with things like LangChain and LlamaIndex being used in tandem with deployment infrastructures (Cloudflare aka ticker symbol NET partnering with META's Llama) we'll see line go up.

The thing is though that MSFT's Azure is partnering with OpenAI for deployment, which kinda mogs the META - NET deal.

Well, one of my favorite stories is that one of his turkeys got its neck stuck in an adirondack chair for like 30-45 minutes. When they freed the turkey it was pretty much braindead, so its head was always hanging at an angle and it was 100% blind. They had to feed it by hand. (I'd have just let it die) But it could still live, walk around, run away etc. It was shocking to me the being braindead didn't really effect its core functions at all. I know chickens can also (apparently) survive without their heads. So maybe all poultry are just stupid. But if heads are optional that's a retarded animal to me. So anyway, my friend and I would always have to herd the turkeys back into their pens around when it got dark. And the way you herd turkeys is basically scaring them so they run in the right direction. The problem is that the braindead turkey couldn't tell where we were, so it wouldn't notice us at all, and if you touched it it would just book it in a random direction . And then all the other turkeys would follow it. So we'd be trying to herd them left and this one bird kept fucking up the whole flock. Dumbass. Glad it got eaten.

Yes so this is what I meant by "retrieval pipelines" aka RAG. This is me sperging out about my own personal interest and what I do for a living but there is this concept of knowledge-augmenting LLMs with your corporate database/documents and perhaps fine tuned embedding models/LLMs/retrieval models.

You basically set up this pipeline that uses embedding models, retrieval agents, and LLMs to make LLMs generate output that is both factually correct / adheres to your company's needs and also is in the right "tone" you want.

Link related is what I'm working on and predict there is a lot of money going to be dumped into:

Okay so let me get this straight. Japan has a stagnant economy ever since the lost decade in the 1980s.

They blame the fact that the average japanese person has a huge amount in savings, $50000, and that they need to instead have a SPEND SPEND SPEND SPEND western styled civilization where people live pay check by paycheck.

Their theory being that if they cause inflation it'll make people spend it since it'll just be slowly wasting away. So Japan tries, and fails, to cause inflation for the next 40 fucking years.

And then, magically, it actually happens. And now all of a sudden its a disaster? And the solution to the inflation is GOVERNMENT STIMULUS?

The yield curve is going uninvert one way or another. As it stands now 10 year rates are increasing higher than they ever have in history signaling what's called a bear steepening. Bond investors are selling off their long term bonds and buying short term. Why? Because they believe inflation will continue to rage so they want to be better positioned with shorter term debt to take advantage of the rise in rates the Fed will inevitably have to do as conditions worsen. The way the yield curve is uninverting isn't signaling good times ahead and it isn't signaling rate cuts. It's signaling rate hikes and economic hardship. Enjoy the ride

>JPow completely crushed any bobo dreams about some sort of crash
You are confused on how this whole Fed thing works. JPow is only focused on how things look at this exact moment. He makes predictions because politicians and the public demands it. The predictions he makes don't really mean much. The fact is there are many reasons for economic conditions to deteriorate and only a few paths for things to recover completely. Since the fed only looks at things in the moment and they go moment by moment for their decision making, the instant anything rocks the economy such as an unusually bad PCE print, the stock market getting too strong, the dollar getting too weak, anything at all that will exacerbate inflation, JPow will have to readjust which means the big market players will trigger a sell off because they know the predictions don't mean anything. Listen to JPow's description of the current economy and if anything changes compare the change to the very last thing JPow said. If the change is something that will increase inflation then you need to sell. And there are many ongoing happenings, any one of which could be the trigger

Most of asia doesnt treat girls as equal and men do their own thing, and the result is different for each country. its only the west that even has this issue.

they are. Men going their own way and having declining birth rates is better than men cucking in the west and still having declining birth rates. I dont think declining birth rates is an issue, history goes up and down. Simply put, as times as comfy, people simply dont have 5 children. Some argue its cause times are hard and people have less, but apparently even when turd worlders come to the west, after one generation, they start having less kids too. its probably cause the west is a better environment compared to the third world.

that isnt an issue. lol. hong kong allow girls to work. taiwan and japan and korea also. china does too. girls have been working and those countries have been improving for the last 90 years lol. in the east, the girls arent seething at men. in east asian society, there is none of this below the surface hate/seethe/resentment females have against men. Sure all females have these feelings, but in the east, nothing has triggered them to bring it to the surface yet. but over time, it will surface. You can thank hollywood influence, western influence and american cia trying to put feminsm into china like they did in iran. lol. thats why china clamps down on it. females ARE a cancer, and youre right, allowiing them to work like men can lead to issues, but not yet. and not japan because usa wont use feminsm as a tool to bring down their country because japan is an usa ally.

Major cities are not even closed to the amount of pozzness of the west. what are you on? lmfao. east asian men in general are really laid back and not high T, but the culture is what saves them, the culture is not one that allows girls to disrespect men. thats why when you seem videos of men beating girls in public, there are no whiteknights that jump to the girls rescue.
