And the company was geowing at the time. gme now makes like 5.5 billion in revenue and its earnings look to be +/- 0. even if the company turns around massively and starts earning 100 million a year it would still be twice overvalued compared to 2008

For me, the coolest thing about Bedt Buy, Walmart et al pulling out of physical game sales is the deals it opens up. Best buy had an exclusive contract with Limited Run Games so that when LRG's limited press runs finished and they had excess stock, they would send it over to Best Buy and had it listed for sale in their brick and mortar stores. Well, there is no more best buy. If a company like LRG wants a deal like that, it has to be gamestop (or else what, Target? I think Target is the only big competitor left).

LRG is shit for all their delays and stuff, but at least they make physical, game-on-cart releases for games that would have been digital only. Get that shit into Gamestop.
