Yeah it's pretty awful, especially in Austin proper, which we usually avoid, unless going in for a doctor's appoint (we're transbians who get our HRT there). Anyways, point being that life has become extremely expensive. I burn through $8k a month (sometimes more) and we aren't exactly living like queens. Sure our suburban aprtment is on the nicer side, but the overwhelming majority of our money just goes to monthly cost of living and not eating toxic waste.

The are only two real downsides, the main one is that there is a certain type of person who judges you negatively for it, if you can deal with this and NGAF then it's a dream scenario honestly. I get along really well with my mom so it's perfect for me and I help around the house cutting hedges etc.

The second downside is the only one you should really care about, and that's that girls don't like it. It's not the immediate deal breaker that some exaggerate it to be, but it does make you seem less "independent". I'm at the stage of life where if a girl doesn't like me because i live with my parents then I shrug it off and carry on with my life, I come first not her. And it suits me to live at home.
