What's funny about all you silver scam victims is you are trapped. You lost 80% already and over 400% compared to the stock market

If silver went up to $120 <it wont> you could sell and break even

If silver went to $670 <ROFL> you would be even with boomers who invested in the DJIA. <lmao>

But you won't sell because it's your whole life you will be a broke loser unless silver went to $100,000 and you could buy a virgin for 10 cents. Lmao that's what you were promised and what you believe.

So you are trapped. You are stuck with a lifetime of pain because you invested all your real $$$$ in a scam. You can't sell because that would be admitting you got scammed and you h8 me too much for telling you the truth and warning you. Emotionally and financially trapped its your whole life....your identity.

Lmao how did you get to this place? greed. You listened to a scammer and got greedy and wanted to get rich <and a gf> with no effort.

I haven’t found this to be true for 1oz BU kooks. Modern mintages are up near 500k for these and lots of these show up at wholesale pricing a few months after the new release frenzy. Now the proof and 10oz versions absolutely do see price increases once they go out of stock.

It just occurred to me that the inflation has been around ever since Jewish merchants figured out they could clip coins. The concept of inflation is the devaluing of the currency by increasing its supply. The clipper and the fiat printer are basically doing the exact same thing. You convince the public the currency is still the same numerical value, while your shave off the metal or devalue by printing more.

This but unironically. Nobody should forget that silver shills in /pmg/ know that what they're doing is extremely exploitative, which is why they frequently pretend to be extremely rude and unconstructive anti-silver posters. By deliberately trying to come across as ignorant and illogical opponents of paying extremely high premiums for silver meme coins, they're hoping that the teenagers in this general will respond along the lines of "Hey, that anti-silver guy is an obvious retard and a shill at that, I think I AM going to pay a 50% premium for that 1oz silver coin with Epic Pepe on it after all! I'm owning the feds!"

Notice the next post by the pro-silver-pretending-to-be-anti-silver shill, a blatantly ridiculous comment that serves only to make the anti-silver crowd look insane: >>56443560

You can highlight his ID to see similar posts. The aim is the same in all of them: make people who are warning newer anons against buying the precious metal equivalent of Funko Pops seem deranged so that more people will fall for their scams. These people are running businesses and want you to buy silver with what little money you have - and ONLY silver. They'll never mention gold, except as a small afterthought - "Oh, yeah, you should buy gold too, I guess, maybe, but before that MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS THE 2024 PIRATE APUTANNIA, COLLECTOR'S ITEM BRO, PREMIUM IS HIGH BUT IT WILL BE WORTH $500 BY 2030 WE SWEAR. Just use our discount code GRIFT24!"

Save your money and buy gold. Silver peaked in 2011; gold peaked last week. China and India and all the other shitholes aren't hoarding silver in anticipation of the total collapse of America; they're hoarding gold. And God have mercy on you if you're living in a country where there is VAT on silver but you got scammed into buying some anyway. Stop throwing your money at people just because they slapped Facebook Frog on a coin and, like, totally swear they're based and redpilled and antisemitic just like you, bro.

/pmg/ was founded on the notion of buying silver when the GSR was high and then trading it in for gold when the GSR goes low.
The end goal was always getting gold. Silver was just a means to stack more gold.
It's a bit weird that it turned into a silver stacking thread. I guess it makes sense since silver "has more room to grow." But that's just another way of saying "silver has performed much worse than gold over the last 60 years and we think that will change at some point."
which might be true, maybe. So far no luck.

the silver squeeze was impressive, it raised prices about 20% for two whole weeks. It seems doubtful that the price increase was due to actual depletion of inventory rather than investor sentiment and speculation though.
It very certainly raised the premiums on silver, and dried up LCS and mint inventories, but that happened after the price had already started going back down again.

With the constantly increasing honking sounds of clown world the cheaper option to get into diverting fiat paper into hard money means many are going for silver as well. Gold should be a part of any stack but I don’t see silver outright collapsing.

Another point to make is how fun it is to stack varied and diverse silver bullion. It’s far harder to stack a coin from every nation in 2023 in gold versus silver.

At the end of the day it’s speculation with history serving as the foundation of faith in this investment.

the idea was to buy cheap silver when gold was expensive, and then every time silver went up or gold went down, or both, trade the silver for more gold than you could've gotten by just buying gold outright.
Now I think dealer premiums would wipe out any gains on that strategy, but when /pmg/ first started premiums on gold were around 3% and silver was maybe 6%

Gold can be seen in the same light even with the very minor breakthrough to new highs. The tinfoil hat in me says this is on purpose. Inflation and cost of living and shit hop prospects and social insanity drives so many crazy that diverting their rapidly pleating purchasing power into hard assets is too much to ask.

Doesn’t help that my fellow Zoomers are rightfully hedonistic and would sooner dump thousands on a shitty concert and weekend in the city versus half an ounce of gold.

So I just fill it with generics and 10 oz bars for the absolute lowest premiums? Or do I get spicy with it?

Mental illness

Man, I've never seen FUD to the extent that has been happening in /pmg/ threads, lately.
Nobody is going to just sit in threads all day, posting hundreds of posts about how good metals are as an investment, getting into simultaneous arguments with people and making pathetic attempts at memes all day for weeks on end, just out of the goodness of their hearts, to try and help people make a good investment.
There is definitely money behind the FUD shills, they have been employed by coin dealers who want people buying silver, in particular.
They've even started making multiple threads to disrupt /pmg/ cos they couldn't use arguments and were unable to make the threads unbearable (despite a lot of effort on their part).
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are over the target.

Remember everyone, $46BN silver and gold market in a $122BN premium grabbing scheme. Pair that with the supply/demand of silver which can easily produce a whopping 1800M worldwide, which is enough to procure 43 pounds for every AMERICAN. Per person on the planet you get a piece of silver roughly the size of an apple, when the demand for silver approaches zero. Look up the famous Mark Dice video. L to the MAO. The global silver system is a PONZI and it requires you to work tirelessly to pay premiums and store your metal in an expensive safe while paying 0 interest and dividends. It hasn't a chance in hell in providing you with the life they promise you. Your insurance, SS, etc are all pools of resources that have already been spent. Finance and accounting can NEVER create wealth on their own, and no amount of finagling will allow you to spend money EIGHTY times. All that the silver-ponzi has left to do is monetize the losses/default. Or in other words, actualize losses. That's why they shill garbage rocks to you 24/7/365. And there is no way to move the losses around on a balance sheet without someone who is not you footing the bill. All they can do is charge exorbitant premiums. And to avoid the losses you have to avoid so called precious metals, including gold, silver and copper,

It spiked harder and lasted longer during the same price action. Go ahead and look yourself.

Platinum is also like 30x rarer than gold and is the skeleton key of modern biochemistry. Wouldn't expect one of you aluminum shats to understand at this point.

Silver has shit fundamentals, platinum has good fundamentals. Simple as.

These tards buy a metal that has 1billion oz's mined each year. That's only 6% better than copper at conductivity (look it up) and copper is 2$/lb.

It'll go up, but it'll be a slow dog of an investment. It's basically the same as investing in copper, if the price of mining goes up, the metal goes up. But at least copper has serious demand and use. Silver is barely use at all comparatively.

The only reason they buy it is because it's 20$ and that's in the sweet spot of 'affordable' and 'gainzzz multiplier greed. It's not even a noble metal since it tarnishes in the open air lol. It's a semi-noble since it doesn't really rust through, but still gets surface corrosion like anything else.

Buy any element in this picture and you win.

Not true, nickel and copper are easy replacements for silver. Hell, nickel is a harder metal than silver and tarnishes much slower.

Noble metals are chemically invaluable, every PGM is a catalyst. If you guys were early-era 4channers and not zoomer mutts, you'd realize how magical they truly are. You have access to the entire wealth of information on the internet, yet you're too lazy to google or youtube facts about things. The saddest part is that I probably have more silver than you (~1800oz).

I see a lot of fud and its kinda justified. Stackers just need to think with thier head when considering silver being an investment. I have about 30 ounces of silver, pieces I love to share with my family at Christmas. Don't get carried away, I don't mind paying the insane premiums today because I buy really cool pieces that are more about the art made with silver. Now gold on the other hand, I have 5% of my net worth in Canadian good maples. I have 5% of my net worth in crypto. 20% in a GIC, 20% in cash, 20% in RRSP, and 30% in a mortgage free home. Diversify. These premiums on silver are insane. Silvergoldbull charging 25% on silver maples?!?! That's ridiculous. Now don't get me wrong, the economy is fucked, and maybe silver and gold will save the day. I refuse to put all my eggs in one basket and I never go above 5% net worth in Gold. You need to have rules and you need to have some restraint. When it comes to paying ridiculous premiums on silver. Pictured is a piece I bought today. It will go nicely with my other silver. Take care of yourself anons.

Only Silver and Gold are serious players for becoming monetary metals.

All these other metals are purely industrial pumps and dumps and are not scaring the Jew at all!
E.g. the Platinum bull of the 2000s was driven by a significant increase in global ICE car production, particularly in China + substantial disruptions in South African supply (energy constraints, labor unrest, mining incidents) + commodity ETFs became hip.

>It's basically the same as investing in copper
Copper hasn't enough value density.
Silver is right at the sweat spot and will become even better once it really starts pumping. Probably to an extent that people substitute their good purchases with silver. Right now it's a bit on the low end so that most people only load up so and so many pounds of silver before they've switch to gold for it's density. If silver appreciates a couple of x it's game over for all other metals because it combines the best of both worlds. Monetary, store of value and industrial properties.

>Even that is outrageous. What other investment has that kind of fee?
What do you even mean?
If you buy a house you are paying premium on the manufacturing costs and with stocks they often cost much more than the book value as well. What matters if you can retrieve the premium when selling the coin. If I buy some historical coin 150% over spot I will not sell it for spot. Same with premium silver bullion. If you want low premiums or spot price you can always buy junk silver. The point is that nobody forces you ever to sell for a low price. If a car dealer doesn't want to pay a high price for my car I don't seem to him, simple as that .

I have bought large amounts of silver on the secondary market at the fair market rate and I have no doubt that I can also sell it like that. There is no "lost" premium lol. You only lose if you buy from greedy merchants. That's true for anything.

That's a collector piece and would very likely need to be sold to a dealer or collector to receive it's full numismatic value.

I agree with you about regular coins and rounds/bars though. The total price paid is all that really matters if you're stacking. DCAing PMs is the most low risk way to preserve wealth.

Good news, great news and bad news concerning my bracelet frens.
Just came back from a buyback gold & jeweler shop to see if the coins were legit (was already 99% sure, but wanted to be 100%). They indeed are in gold and silver. A bit sad he had to file down a bit 1 of each to be certain it wasn't plating, but i presented him the already most damaged ones so it's not that terrible.
Even greater news is he had access to a numismatic catalogue for pros online, and we couldn't find any entry for the gold (4 reales equivalent) 'commemorative' coins of Presidente General Barillas from Guatemala. He looked quite surprised to say the least, and told me the coin must be incredibly rare to not be listed there (he think of few hundreds range). I told him my internet searches wielded zero results aswell, so it seems my best chance now is to directly contact the guatemalan museum of money or whatever is their governmental body who can have this kind of archives. So potentially big monies here!

Now the bad news.. he told me what i feared : the solders are in silver, and since silver's melting point is close to the one of gold, if we separate them there will always be a layer/glut of silver on the gold coins where the solder points are. Only way to remove them would be to melt them down, but the gold would melt too. Maybe some other technique not involving heating them exist, idk. I was thinking of acids maybe? Since silver react pretty strongly to nitric acid, maybe progressively injecting acid in the interstices could eat the silver solder away and leave the gold intact? I've no idea, i'd have to dig this up, but if the coins are indeed super-giga rare, it's worth giving it a chance.

congrats! that's cool.
I hope he didn't file the rare token

a few thoughts from an exonumia dealer:
usually a one-of-a-kind medal or token isn't as super valuable as you might think. Maybe a couple hundred dollars up to a thousand if it's in really high demand. Really high demand is like 2 or 3 people that all want it. Rarity is cool, but demand has to also be there, and it usually isn't for the extremely rare stuff. I collect one-of-a-kind medals and tokens, most of mine aren't worth more than $500 but a few are worth a couple grand.

nitric acid is unlikely to work either because the gold isn't pure and will be ruined, or it would take a lot of acid heated under a hood to do the job, or it would take a very long time. Putting acid just on the solder is probably impossible since it needs to be heated and stirred. It will absolutely dissolve the silver coins.

most likely the best method of separation will be mechanical. Very tiny saws and then file any solder off. This is skilled work for a professional. I wouldn't try it myself on anything valuable, and I'd want to practice several times on cheap coins before trying it on something rare. Luckily you have a bunch of relatively cheap coins to practice on, since gold and silver turned into jewelry is basically just scrap to a coin collector.

>>56453565
>>56454024
the other method I could imagine is just cutting off the 2 silver coins attached to the rare medal and then cutting and grinding them away from the surface of the medal very carefully.

no matter how you do it, the coin will be considered ruined. But if it's as rare as it sounds, it's worth salvaging the coin.

keep in mind-
pure gold is NOT harmed by nitric acid
90% gold IS harmed by nitric acid

so if the coin isn't 24k pure gold it's going to be destroyed by nitric acid. The acid will eat the copper and silver out of the coin leaving porous gold sponge stuff.
This kills the coin.

the other thing to consider is how much acid you'd need to dissolve the solder

acid doesn't just dissolve silver and the silver magically disappears. It dissolves it into silver nitrate, and the acid can only hold a certain amount of silver depending on temperature and concentration etc.

so to dissolve the solder off one coin you might need a liter of nitric acid for example. If you don't want to ruin the gold by dunking the whole thing in acid, that would mean you'd have to very carefully apply the acid and then remove it, one tiny drop at a time. This would probably take years to accomplish

grinding with a dremel is much faster.

If it was me, I'd take the coins he filed and I'd heat them with a torch to see if they come apart. It's pretty hard to melt gold or silver with a propane torch, it takes a long time.

you might get lucky and the solder is an alloy with a lower melting point, and the coins will either just fall apart from each other or maybe can be gently pried apart when the solder is red hot.

Thanks for your insights fren, it's really appreciated. You make a really good point about lack of demand, i was too focused on rarity but it's indeed the main factor i should have taken into consideration, after all, who will look after them if they don't know it exist in the first place? I've advanced the hypothesis that since they were struck during a coup d'etat who almost costed Barillas' head in 1889, the rebels may have melted them down to finance their revolution since they got a hold on the capitale for a while, and thus why they are unheard of? It's only speculations on my part, but since i've seen pictures of the silver version of the coin on guatemalan numismatic sites but not the gold one, i was wondering if it could explain it... They may end up have more historic value than numismatic one.

>have a bunch of relatively cheap coins to practice on, since gold and silver turned into jewelry is basically just scrap to a coin collector.
I'd rather leave it as a jewel than butcher them then, as even those silver coins are pretty rare, i'd feel like i betray history if i end up doing an horrible job at it (guaranteed, i've the dexterity of a bear on crack).

>no matter how you do it, the coin will be considered ruined.
That's quite sad, because the surface of the silver coins are really nice for the most part.

>so if the coin isn't 24k pure gold it's going to be destroyed by nitric acid
Good to know, it's .875 gold for both Carerra & Barillas coins, so no bueno...

>>56454221
While searching for a bit i've found pros are using a kind of mini solder vacuum to progressively suck up the dissolved/molten solder. Also to get rid of the solder without damaging the gold underneath they apparently are using a mix of ammonium bifluoride, muriatic acid, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid... it seems super complicated and far beyond my level of expertize. All i know about chemistry is if i add grenadine syrup to my milk it tastes good...

Exactly. They pick likely dupes, then approach them in a very suspicious way that would make anyone think they were a target for humiliation, then they edit out anyone who makes the right choice. This. I tried this experiment with my relatives and every single one of them would have picked the gold without a second thought, and none of them are stackers. Literally everybody knows gold is valuable, even if they don't interact with it physically, in the collective psyche gold & silver are everywhere : in TV shows, in vidya, on coupons, gambling games, in sport competition... If you have played any game with an ELO rank system, you know and seek plat/gold/silver. Or everytime you unlock something or have a fantasy money in any RPG/strategy game/etc.. So either amerimutts are unbelievably dumb or his vids aren't worth shit, and i suspect it's the later.
