This is the truth:
At best, persons who bought their LUNC stack at current prices have a chance to 10x in a bull run, even with the current 6.8 trillion supply intact. But many of us bought in at higher prices and a bull run would just put us slightly over the price where we bought in, so we would barely profit. And that's LUNC's best case scenario
The 100x to 1000x gains we hoped for is only possible if 99% of the extra supply is burned. The problem is that thousands of people including many whales own nearly all of that extra supply, meaning that for the supply to be burned by a significant percentage, most of those people would have to willingly burn a large percentage of the LUNC that they already own. And 99% of those people won't do that due to greed, also because they don't want to risk being the "fool" that burns his own tokens while others keep theirs
There are only two ways to burn large amounts of this LUNC that's already owned by others: either "take" it away from them (e.g. the burn tax, but even then this would have to be successfully voted on first through governance), or give persons some sort of instant major reward or profit as an incentive for burning
The burn tax as it is set right now, is not doing enough to burn LUNC at an acceptable rate. And no one has figured out how to come up with a good-enough incentive to get people to burn their own tokens. So here we are, in basically the same position we were right after the crash

I'm currently mulling over something which combines the idea of a reverse split of the LUNC supply, with the idea of rewarding persons that burn LUNC tokens early
Basically the earlier you burn current LUNC and the more current LUNC that you burn, the bigger share you get of the new LUNC supply after the reverse split is complete
Only thing is, my idea requires a brand-new LUNC token to be distributed through the Terra Classic blockchain to the same LUNC addresses, after those addresses burn the current LUNC token. Addresses that already burned LUNC up to this date would immediately be airdropped the largest calculated share of the new token. The new token would not be able to be transferred or sold unless a future governance vote passes to have old LUNC completely replace new LUNC
If things go the way I expect it to, then LUNC would end up having a supply of just several billion under the new token, instead of several trillion under the current one
Do you guys think something like this could work if it passes governance? Or are there potential issues that I'm not seeing but you guys already see?

Also forgot to mention: one potential issue I've already noticed with my idea is that if previous burns will be airdropped the new token, that means Binance's wallet will easily get the lion's share of the initial distribution of the new LUNC token.
