i'll have $500K soon
what should i do with it?
thinking about taking advantage of all dem short term banking promotions where they you $ for opening checking accounts with them
after exhausting all available then i'll go for 5% CDs
thoughts?
any negative effects on my credit scores if i open/close too many bank accounts in short amount of time?

Just buy btc fgt and sell at $100k-120k. $500k isnt enough to retire and boomer funds wont be enough.

If you are in your 20s or 30s I'd do a higher risk leveraged play. If it works out it will put you way ahead for the future, if not, you have time to make it up. 500k in itself is not enough to change your lifestyle. If you are late 30s or 40s and you are a renter I'd probably use it to take a big chunk out of a home's price.

You don't need to put everything in a single bank account. You can build a diversified portfolio to get a good return while managing your risk.
Never put all your eggs in the same basket. It goes even for a risk free account, you never know when an asshole at the bank will freeze your funds for no reason.

Why would you buy a CD when you can get a bond at 5.5%?
