The stack is disorganized with no clear theme. Multiple types of coin and bar are present, with no seeming relation between them aside from the fact that all cost more than the cheapest of coins but none of them are particularly valuable. The stacker has neither committed to buying the cheapest possible metals nor to paying for some decent numismatics. Instead they stubbornly and slavishly went for the mediocre, the middle line, with every purchase.
Despite this the collection has relatively few oddball or unusual purchases. It is for the most part the work of a conformist that seeks to both fit in with instantly recognizable tropes, but also to subtly exceed in ways that will impress others without making them jealous or angry. The size of the collection also reflects this desire. It's a large pile, but certainly not the largest ever. Something others could aspire to and still admire the owner for amassing.

Overall I give it a 7/10 for its weight class as compared to other stacks. Messy, mediocre, but not at all bad for what it is. Not much thought put into it, but thinking isn't for everyone.

Nobody is going to just sit in threads all day, posting hundreds of posts about how good metals are as an investment, getting into simultaneous arguments with people and making pathetic attempts at memes all day for weeks on end, just out of the goodness of their hearts, to try and help people make a good investment.

There is definitely money behind the FUD shills, they have been employed by coin dealers who want people buying silver, in particular.
They've even started making multiple threads to disrupt /pmg/ cos they couldn't use arguments and were unable to make the threads unbearable (despite a lot of effort on their part).
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are over the target and silver is a massive scam

(on the state level, still have to deal with ATF fuckery no matter what your state says. Although some have tried to give ATF the finger ex. Texas (and one other state cant think of it right now) allows you to make a suppressor(s) with in state materials as long as they stay in Texas (or the other state I cant currently think of), ATF says thats still illegal and Texas says we won't help the feds investigate.) or the fact that the NFA game has gotten very big in recent years along with the greater gun rights movements, or both. Coin dealers make money by hiring shillbots to spread FUD, and charging exorbitant premiums. that is their scam. Silver is bought cheaply from JP Morgan which happily offloads the outdated currency when the dealers shift into a shilling mode 9000. The "Silver" is created when the price of the coin from JP Morgan is added to the balance of that central bank after the dealer buys it. The coin dealer must pay it back at interest, and they themselves are allowed to charge out or "sell" several times this amount of silver at premiums to the buyers, AKA the shillees. Hence the 6 week delivery times, or float in industry parlance, of silver sold at "fair" premiums. The overall object is not even so much to make money. money (or rather, usury) is simply a tool by which they attempt to control the general public. the fed is a private organization and has private shareholders and very profitable and desires to continue existing. By deactivating the victims from taking effective actions against the FED they achieve this goal.

Mix of both personally. I've already mostly reached my goal for raw weight, so now i just have to wait for the metal value to go up, which let me time to focus a bit more on the numis side. And now is a pretty great time to dive in, because so many boomers are croaking/going to the retirement home, and their heirs are dumping their collections for way below the market price of few years prior, since they have no attachment to it they don't care. They just want a quick bux.

Like the stamps in a way, but nothing as dramatic, since stamp collections lost approx 99% of their value over the last decade. It's pretty disheartening to witness this trend on ebay, where you see auctions titled "$9,500 collection" going for $2. But numis will rebound eventually (i hope). Though stamps collection lost it's appeal also because nobody sends letters anymore. It's something who left the collective mind pretty much entirely. And coins are following the same digitalization trend. In a not so distant future, coins as a whole will entirely disapear and kids will wonder what those round pieces of metal could have been used for. So maybe coinage will too be doomer to disappear from the collective mind, as most non-digitalized things.
That's why i also like to delve into silverware, because no matter how digitalized the neo-human become, he'll always have to put something in his mouth and chew it up to survive.

Unless we end up like in Matrix, with needles and gastric tubes feeding us with dead corpses of course.

But when i talk about numis, i only take into account real numismatics, with sovl. Meaning circulating coins who became collectibles, but weren't destined to. Not modern meme trash like this >>56410073 where bullion dealers come up with a new design every two minutes to try to rip you off with insane premiooms. 99% of those will end up in the for-melt-value bin within a decade. They always do. You can't force something into becoming a collectible just out of greed.

It'll quickly move beyond that

if we have the tech to create a completely convincing virtual reality, we also have the tech to move our minds out of our bodies and into the machines. No body to feed, just a bunch of servers hosting human minds.

this may have already happened.

I love that you get the difference between real numismatics and the modern "coins" that were never meant to be circulated. Regarding stamps, and common collector coins, I think ebay killed them off by showing how many are out there. Stuff you'd never see in your local store you can now find thousands of online.

Yes this is a terrifying thought, even though it also could become pure bliss. So many ethical, philosophical and power dynamics issues to solve when your humanity will be reduced to bits in a server.
But it's far from done yet.

And even then, who will take care of the machines if we all are reduced to bits in a machine? Robots? But then doesn't it mean they will eventually have the capacity to enslave or even terminate us as they see fit? Or couldn't they simply duplicate our minds and declare themselves as humans as we?

And would it mean we will doomed to an eternity of suffering (anything too long become suffering), with immortal souls trapped in a machine, and no way to spawn new humans? Imagine having the same retarded romanian playing fornite as digital proxy neighbor for all eternity lol.
And without the ability to have kids and without the prospect of death, what would push humans to accomplish anything? Wouldn't that trap us in a nihilist mindset?
Isn't the value of life residing in the fact we know it eventually ends?
What about the power structure too? Once again death is the great equalizer, no matter the hubris of the richest, no matter how superior they fooled themselves to believe they are, they all have to bow down to the Great Reaper eventually. Without this, how do you limit the absolute accumulation of power in the hands of the same elite? Isn't it reaching godhood?

>> No.56410629

>>56410599
you get it. You get all of it.

we'd have to create a reality where we could have kids and we'd have to create a reality where we could not only die but also fear death. We'd need struggles and disappointments to bring joy to our accomplishments. It would be very much like this reality.

regarding the robots enslaving us or taking our minds, that would be a meaningless distinction since we would be those robots. We would volunteer our minds to become robots, and those robots would be all that's left of humanity.

this is the meaning of the singularity, and we are moving towards it as fast as we can. If such a thing is even possible. This anon may also be right

Well said, i believe this too. It's also our duty. The J already erased, rewrited and replaced so much of our history to fit their narrative in the past hundred years, we can't let them destroy our history entirely, or via this amnesia we risk to lose everything we hold dear in the process.
Fighting to save our collective memories might be the most important fight actually.

>this is the meaning of the singularity, and we are moving towards it as fast as we can
Maybe we already are experiencing the 50th iteration of this ultra-immersive simulation, and this irresistible march toward the singularity is our collective consciousness desperately trying to free us from the lie we are currently living by showing us the process by which it already happened so many times.
And every time we finally figure out we were already in a super advanced simulation we ourselves modelized, we create a new one so immersive we lose all capacity to remember we are in one, due to the lack of observers.

Simulacra & simulation conondrum. It pretty much was first encapsulated by the gnostics, telling us we are living a demiurgic manisfestation, a simulation gone wrong where the material plan entrapped us at the shittiest level.
And in a way, even before that by the symbolism behind reincarnation, where we repeat always the same mistakes in a loop in which our eternal soul is doomed to experience forced amnesia at each cycle. Amnesia we may force upon ourselves because the truth is too absurd or ironic to accept.

but then we have to wonder if our believed history is not true, why does it seem to make sense? Why should past events lead logically to current ones if they in fact didn't happen?

is the meaning of our existence like the meaning in a dream or a drug trip, where we wake and find it was all nonsense all along?

truth is absurd no matter what it turns out to be, but the easiest way to stop a cycle of avoiding it would simply be to say it, and accept it, and hopefully be ok with it.

I'm not implying they didn't happen, but that they all lead to the same result eventually. If we imagine it takes us 11,500 years to complete a self-realization cycle for example. From the point we enter a new simulation (golden age), to the point we forget we are in one (complete immersion phase), to then redevelop the tools to understand the nature of what we consider the reality (we are here), to then the creation of a new one. Bis repetita.

Of course this is only a hypothesis ad absurdum. It's not what i believe, since i don't know what to believe in.
But i think ancient vedic, gnostic, etc.. texts have some truth to it, concerning this material reality as a sort of (partially self-inflicted) prison realm.
But enough disgression for me, i'm too tired to derail this poor bread any more than that kek.

>> No.56410826

>>56410785
>I'm not implying they didn't happen, but that they all lead to the same result eventually
the result is undeniable, but the history wouldn't necessarily be true. I'm thinking of the "bottom of the stack" problem. There must be some first world that developed the technology to create simulations, and if we aren't in that first world our history may be completely different from the original one. It may make sense in this simulation, but be nothing like reality.

In that case the absurd truth we were trying to avoid may not exist in our simulation, and may not even be possible to imagine. Though this reality is certainly absurd enough to want to escape, which would have to be true of all realities that produce simulations.

Literally all you need is a barricade on the door that can be installed in 10 minutes and people won't be able to boot your door in. That prevents home invasion and ALL members of the criminal element use similar barricades. For when you're gone get a motion sensor camera for your door that sends a direct feed to your phone. If someone boots your door when you're gone it sends an alert and cam feed to your phone and you call the police.

There really is no way forward for the USA but catastrophic inflation. The Fed can continue to reign in credit but the government has lost any last vestiges of fiscal restraint and the rest of the world has stopped financing it. As we sink further into recession, the government will pour more money into the pockets of its friends and all of that money will have to be created. The value of the dollar will look strong for awhile as credit money collapses, but in the end it will go to zero as government tries to squeeze the last bit of value out of a terminally-ill economy.

>I've been wanting to get more of those vintage half dollar silver commems.

My dad and I have been pooling cash/bullion and actively building that set since the based LCS bought a big and advanced collection of commemorative halves they were willing to sell at great prices. Those old commemorative halves represent the last best "secret" niche of US coin collecting where you get great value in aesthetics and rarity for your money. Issues like the Oregon Trail half are truly magnificent to behold, and with a relatively high total mintage of around 200,000 it's still more rare than something like a 1916-D Merc dime which will cost 5-figs in similar Uncirculated condition. I know that commemoratives were made to be kept pristine unlike normal coins struck for circulation, but the "value" you get from sub-$200 coins that are more rare and interesting and sometimes more beautiful than that 1916-d merc which would cost $50,000 in the same grade is very appealing. Picrel are a few we got from the collection, the old flips were from the previous owner and the prices we paid were less than what is marked on them, between 2/5th and 2/3rd of their going rate on eBay depending on the coin. The prospect of collecting full sets of boring overpriced circulation-strike issues lost its appeal many years ago but these old commemoratives remain particularly exciting and interesting. 10/10 would recommend.

Is 16.90 euro a gud price for these? I went on numista and there's like a dozen different variants of this coin. Anyway it would just be "random year" so probably nothing too special.
The price comes out above spot, by about 1 euro or so.

I believe that there is extreme risk in the market at this moment and people are placing their bets on the safety-trade.
The MMRI is over 325 and reflects risk in the market as dollar strength as well as rising interest rates pose potential problems for other asset values.
RRP is unwinding from topping $2TN.
Meme stocks are still a festering wound in the financial system that are likely forcing very large distortions for the capital markets as overleveraged financial institutions pose systemic risk to one another via the derivatives market.
If for some reason a major event happens and retail has some sort of windfall, I think that will be a major catalyst to allow PMs to move higher to prevent the plebs from blowing out the metals market.
Much of the financial shackles imposed on us is actually carefully controlling the amount of demand in the system and keeping people in debt and on the hamster wheel. I have no doubt that the central banks will make moves that will cull any purchasing power we grab for ourselves.

It's already been proven that the MMRI is not a good indicator in risk in the market.
Meanwhile the MMMRI is a more accurate indicator of risk in the market.
The MMMRI is basically the MMRI×debt/GDP ratio.

The central banks are pricing out the plebs from PMs because they are ready to start the short squeeze. The market is going to crash and unfortunately a massive campaign to buy and hold and NEVER sell was kicked off in an idiosyncratic fashion on securities that were massive naked short. As the tide recedes their collateral will be insufficient to maintain the short trades and a massive rush to close these illegal positions is about to ensue.
