Man, I've never seen FUD to the extent that has been happening in /pmg/ threads, lately.
Nobody is going to just sit in threads all day, posting hundreds of posts about how good metals are as an investment, getting into simultaneous arguments with people and making pathetic attempts at memes all day for weeks on end, just out of the goodness of their hearts, to try and help people make a good investment.
There is definitely money behind the FUD shills, they have been employed by coin dealers who want people buying silver, in particular.
They've even started making multiple threads to disrupt /pmg/ cos they couldn't use arguments and were unable to make the threads unbearable (despite a lot of effort on their part).
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are over the target.

i personally really like the perth mint kilo bars for some reason. valcambi/pamp suisse also makes a very nice standard of bar

but honestly, order secondary market stuff and let the dealer pick. sometimes you get basic nadir refinery bars (which i like) or they will send you something cool from time to time (i got a scottsdale stacker bar, its really nice and usually have a hefty premium). its more fun when you order a random bar IMO and cheaper

They already did it once on the US, and it wasn't just banks. Anyone else recall when GM declared bankruptcy then bought themselves a finance company (bank) a few months later with taxpayer money? (after the executives gave themselves massive, record setting bonuses of course) Lol.

Also a little known fact: most every mortgage has a clause about readjusting the principal in the event of a monetary catastrophe, so the idea that you get to pay your mortgage off at half the current dollar price or whatever after a few years of this sort of inflation is probably not the most likely scenario. I've seen some "insider posts" on /pol/ about using a sort of open ended and adjustable heloc to help homeowners keep their houses and "transition" a collapse of fiat in the west. Obviously no one is meant to ever pay that off lol. It's probably BS, but it doesn't sound too far fetched. These cunts will do most anything under the pretense of an emergency.

National currencies might be conglomerated into regional currencies (like whole continents) that use either fixed exchange rates or a "non reserve" intra-bank currency that isn't associated with a particular nation for international settlements. I could see that as being pitched as a solution, but in reality it would just centralize More power and control to another group of people we don't know the names of. (Likely just many of the same cunts who run the big fed reserve branches and international banks rn)

Anyone remember the Amero? I think that was foreshadowing for a plan along these lines. The Euro may be the predecessor. That idea certainly ties in with the mass immigration and open border pushes this past decade.

Back when money was metal (so all of civilization until roughly 150ish years ago), people used currencies from all across the world. Somehow, they still had banking like loans, insurance, local and regional taxes, etc...with no massive, singular monetary system enforced. The early US citizens used Brit, Spanish, French and US coinage from both national banks and regional banks.

If money is metal, then there is no need for anyone to administer it in total. The metal is what it is, regardless of who's face is on it. States are constitutionally allowed to issue metal money for this reason. Speaking of, did Tennessee (or was it Kentucky?) ever do anything beyond stockpile PMs with the intent to issue their own coinage yet?

Unless you can buy diamonds at wholesale pricing (like 10-20% of what they charge at a jewelry store) you're likely not going to make money with them as they're simply too common. If you happen to run a Gold and Silver asset company, you basically get diamonds and other jewels for free. Most have to take the old jewelry, and pull the stones off of them, before they sell the metals for spot. The Gold and Silver place I used to do some work for, had little plastic bins full of "valuable" stones, that weren't valuable to them at all. lol'd at the naivete.

back here in the real world, the silver supply came from mines. Primarily in Nevada and Colorado. The mines were technically owned by corporations, but like all mines were held in license from the government. In fact mines and government work very closely together and generally prevent "the people" from gaining access to things like free money that can be pulled out of the ground.

>> No.56404296

>>56403893
I will add this though: some gemstones of particular color, clarity, treatment (or lack of), cut and size are actually pretty hard to find. When a jeweler gets those, they will always try to sell it with a setting/necklace etc... because unlike diamonds, there isn't near as much markup in the stone itself. Historically, various colored gemstones were always the most valued. Diamonds only gained in popularity because of jew manipulation of mining rights, inventory, and marketing. There's probably thousands of tons of diamonds buried in the DeBeers vaults that if released on the market, would make diamonds about as valuable as knockoff beanie babies.

>There's probably thousands of tons of diamonds buried in the DeBeers vaults that if released on the market, would make diamonds about as valuable as knockoff beanie babies.
that's already happened a few times over and it had no effect on prices.

the secret is to not tell people you'd dumping thousands of tons of diamonds on the market. Of course they are dumping, there's new people born all the time that will want diamonds, and new people getting enough money to afford diamonds. So the market is constantly growing, and debeers is constantly increasing the supply to meet it. Diamonds aren't at all rare, you have a broad selection to choose from any time you decide to shop for them.

perception matters more than supply/demand in a veblen good.
This is also why gold and silver retain such high value, though you guys are mostly unaware of the fact. It is in extremely high demand, perceived as more rare than it actually is, and that raises the price considerably over the cost to produce it.

Most end up as effectively loafs of silver with various brands on them. I’ve got two sides of the spectrum, a boring yet beautiful valcambi kilo and South Korean goblin art kilo for a stupid premium.

Going forward I’ll likely stick to 10’s just for the additional variety in design. Gun to my head the lowest premium kilo feels wonderful to hold.

I've heard this statement that larger bars like kilos and 100ozers are harder to sell, but I've not seen that to be an issue in my area. All I've seen is a dealer try to jew another 1-2% lower below spot on a big bar than he'd give on rounds or bars. I think the places I go to are shipping most stuff out for scrap though as they've told me they lock in their prices 2x per day. Maybe kilos are harder to sell at mom and pop type places that rely on off the street biz for all of their inventory or something? Idk but a kilo bar of silver isn't that much money. A bigger bar of gold would seem more problematic for a smaller shop with lower cash flows.

Wrong.
Distributors will charge sale tax out of their tax nexus. Recent changes to how this works for online dropshippers has resulted in them charging sales tax.
On the second point, Walmart has verified accounts just like eBay, if you are scared buy from a reputable dealer on Walmart, that is verified.
>>56405374
Dealers have a high demand for 100oz bars despite what they will say to your face. The majority of their sales come a few wealthy customers who will take silver in the highest amounts possible. My dealer sold 3 comex bars during the SVB debacle hand delivered to richfags door. In fact, he’s spend atleast a day week running orders to richfag clients.

Ya I've never witnessed a dealer being interested in a kilo bar, though I don't hang out in coin/jeweler shops that much either lol. I've seen different brands behind glass for sale, so I assume they bought them from walk ins. If silver demand shoots up again, I would think they'd be even more liquid. A dealer can sell that right back to their guys for stacks of rounds they can charge more premium on. I'd be very interested to see a real life example of a retail shop declining to purchase a kilo bar. It doesn't make sense. I think this idea that kilo bars are hard to sell is probably jew FUD.
Like you said, you know a dealer who has customers always willing to take large bars...fuckers are probably just trying to hoard them for themselves lol. Maybe I should order a Germania Kilo after I go back to work.

A few months ago I tried to sign up on Walmart.com to slurp some of the bargains you folks were talking about. A mighty struggle ensued and in the end they somehow randomly gave me full access to some other fool's account including his credit card information. I could have maxed out his credit line on gold. I didn't, of course, because I'm white. I called Walmart and after explaining it all to them five times before they could kind of understand, they just nonchalantly terminated the other dude's account and said "have a nice day". Idk much about it, but if was gold and silver BACKED coinage, exchangeable for a fixed amount of said metals at their repository, maybe it's legal? I doubt it will happen but, ya never know how states may start getting uppity again lol. The fed tax burden might get so immense that some states figure out they can take over the federal entitlements of their citizens of everyone/entity there just stops paying fed taxes and instead diverts them to the state. That's really the only thing holding a state back from secession when you get down to it. Utilities and roads can be swapped around, common defense can be boosted, trade agreements formed with other states etc...but the massive federal entitlements and redistribution of tax dollars creates dependency. In case it's not clear, those are banana plugs, you put them at the end of speaker cable and plug and lock them into your speaker and amp.
The amp is gold plated where it counts.

Just ignore it’s either a bot or a paid shill. They are in every thread all day long. If it was just one guy with a raging hate boner for metals it would be the most pathetic human I’ve ever seen. It’s got to be a bot.

I think it's more likely that anons run into financial difficulties and sell their stacks.
Most of them will probably start stacking again later when they have enough money.

It took me 5 or 6 stacking cycles to realize I was making far more money off rare coins than I was from bullion.

It’s a janny, or janny run bot. That’s literally the only explanation as to why it’s not rangebanned. And the fact that I’ve reported it multiple times for spamming and low quality posts. And nothing happens. But I get banned when I talk shit to it. And I’m willing to bet I get banned for this because I said I reported it. Oh well. That’s why I’m mobile posting it.
